Rukia takes the cake for the best female character on shounen for me imo. Perhaps this is just nostalgia speaking but as a younger girl, I always identified with her so badly. BLEACh and it's characters, overall, feel more grounded and relatable. Her relationship with Ichigo is also so unique comparing to about any anime you could think of. Rukia should have stayed with Ichigo, if not for her, at least for me lol. Jokes aside: BLEACH is actually fantastical. And, while I understand the reasoning behind Ichigo x Orihime and Rukia x Renji, I cannot find myself ever turning my head to Ichigo x Rukia - to BLEACH - on general. The art, the style, the concept and the narrative. There's lots of flaws, but BLEACH more than makes up for it. What can I say? No matter how many years go by-Ichigo and his friends manage to keep me entertained. I'm so happy it is coming back to me after all this time...
Right? Im not denying that theres a basis for IchiHime or RuRenji.... but i like Ichigo and Rukia because they mesh *so* well with each other. IchiRuki haters would be lying if they said there wasnt any chemistry between them, and not to mention that they bring out the best in each other. I know theyre not a couple.... but *if* they were? They'd make a great couple, no cap.

I felt betrayed by the ending even though I knew deep down IchiHime and RuRenji were set-up to be together early on, lol. Ichigo and Rukia are canonically _soulmates._ Their personalities rub off each other _so well._ They bring out the best on each other and so on. I'm rambling but they'd be a GREAT couple, indeed. Capslock on great because that's how good they'd be. lol. Also, I heard the news, and I'm excited! The manga was good, but Kubo's health problems were almost tangible throughout the writing and art; I truly hope he goes all out now, and does everything he couldn't do the first time around and more!
But then i also think the relationship between Ichigo and Rukia is perfect as it is. To me it kinda makes it special that they are not romantically involved but more like comrades and Rukia is still like a Shinigami guide/partner/mentor to Ichigo, as she was in the very beginning. Imo there is no other guy-girl relation in any other anime like these two and its perfect as it is.
@@harshabhigyan928 A part of me also thinks like you do. To be honest, the only reason for me to think that they'd be a good couple potentially, is the fact that they're such good friends. But as you've said; their platonic relationship feels different than anything ever seen on anime- where female-male bonding is concerned- I'd go ahead and say that their relationship is like nothing ever seen on media and literature on general, where female-male bonding is concerned, and losing that wouldn't be so flattering! tbh, while I still like any romantic interpretations regarding these two (look at my two rants, lol) I also genuinely adore their friendship, just their dynamic on general. On the flipside, friendships between women and men on fiction almost always turn into convoluted love stories and never go as deep as Ichigo and Rukia do, so I definitely can agree with the importance of them remaining friends
