I agree, I decided to explore the new DJI Focus Pro/Lidar system recently. Hopefully Tilta updates this

Thank you for this very interesting video. Notice you could have made it half shorter. It is really anoying to watch you wandering what to say or search the Internet. You need to improve this aspect of your edits. Regards.

I use the handle on my BMCC 6K FF via the Titla Cage for the camera, using the Tilta Rosette Extender Arm and Tilta Right Angle Rosette.
But I have been disappointed with the mounting accessories.
Bro everything you've said, I thought the same!

The fact that it was released over a year ago and the last firmware update was last december with all of these issues still being present months after its release gives me the feeling Tilta isn't going to put much more effort into it and more updates with this unit. It's like it's in a permanent beta. This and the ever so slight proprietaryness of their camera rig cages is leading me to not purchase any tilta equipment in the future.

@@ian.jo_ I agree with you 100% I’m just so baffled by who no one else is complaining or even mentioning anything about this situation.

Ive tested with my Blackmagic P4K and the camera control does work, I got the wireless dongle for it to work with my Rs 3 pro and it works lovely. But I have been incredibly disappointed with firmware updates as the current one does still very feel buggy :( I also purchased the control grip (switch feels great and controls can the gimbal via the wireless dongle).

You are too polite im way more angry with the item. I invested in n2 unit with a handle and there is everything wrong with it. I also was miss advertised by suggesting the handle would control rs motor (some graphic in the beginning suggested it), and well it does not. I got the Ronin control unit from the advanced ring and could not manage to pair them. Everything is overcomplicated I waste too much time to make it work each time and still find another issues. I have feeling they wanted to put everything inside, made it too complicated, no features updated and the main thing like follow focus is just a side feature with issues. I had my focus stop responding to a hand unit during a shot... TWICE. The motor has too much power? Because it can't feel the hard stop and ruins my ring gears when calibrating. Im not happy with it. I was better with n1 and old hand unit that worked each time - all I needed to do was power on.

I'm actually having a few of these problems too. I can't get IRIS control to work with my FX30 and it doesn't allow me to control the camera at all but it does display things such as frame rate and modes, so I know it's connected. The only way I can get it to work is to control the IRIS with the Zoom button which is fine but it shouldn't work that way.
I am also using the Hollyland 7 inch monitor so there may be a conflict between the two with the Bluetooth or WIFI.

@@nanopixel.studio I just tried a test to see if the Nano II does any better with an RS4 Pro, but exactly the same situation. I tried every single connection method / setting I can think of but no luck. I guess we just have to wait for Tilta to release new firmware but I’m really starting to worry if Tilta is really going to follow through with their promises. It’s already been close to a year since the last update. I hope they don’t release a Nano III and just leave us Nano II owners as suckers.

DJI updated their motor system at the beginning of the year. there are still a lot of issues IMO, but they have updated it to use standardized 15mm rods

@@colemowery Thanks for the info. I’m glad DJI did the right thing. Those smaller rods didn’t really make much sense to me. They didn’t have any benefits that I could see. They didn’t save weight. They just made the motor prone to slip out of place.

@@keisugimoto570I think that motor was originally designed to just be used with the rs3, so they optimized weight savings. I think the only way to control it was with the front wheel on the gimbal, or with the initial version of the LiDAR system

The support sucks as the firmware updates are not there as promised. So I will use it with the DJI Focus Pro to control the Iris as the DJI FP can control only focus or zoom but not iris. You would need the other controller which is super expensive!
