hello, official Undercards Artist here! very very well done video, i loved the intro animation a lot, and you managed to summarize the game very accurately!! im very glad youre enjoying yourself and hope you continue doing so! see you around in UC :)
Great video, incredibly well made animation and very solid editing as well as commentation and generally getting the main mechanics and appeal of the game across. just a few small corrections: 1:40 taunt is not the most important keyword in this game. while it is signifact, most decks only end up running a few taunt cards, if any at all. The most important keyword would be haste, letting you instantly react to your opponent and remove their threats. 2:35 rarity != power in this game. while on average higher rarity cards do tend to be stronger, it is because they are beloved characters and have incentive to BE strong in the first place - but many low rarity cards can out preform the high rarity cards very often. as an example, 2 of the best proactive (opposite of reactive) 4-drops in the game at the moment are bloody tree and crystal cheese, both being low rarity cards. higher rarity cards are usually higher IMPACT, not higher power. tl;dr the average legendary card is stronger than the average common/rare, but there are plenty of commons/rares that out preform legendaries.
I've known this game since 2017/2018 when i randomly found it listed on google play, never really got into it at the time and stopped playing after a week. Fast-forward to a few months ago and i remebered about it again, it's been an on and off thing since then. I'm glad you gave it a spotlight :>

Oh wow this game is still around? Awesome! I remember this being my introduction to Hearthstone many years ago, I had no idea that game existed at the time.
3:08 this is true! Levels mean little in this game. It all depends on the viability of your deck and how well you can utilize it as well as your knowledge of the games mechanics!
game tester here :D im sure you havent heard the end of "im [STAFF POSITION] and this is awesome" but it is genuinely rare that we see fan content of uc so this is very pleasing !!
Hey! Head artist for the Game, thanks for enjoying. Hopefully I can help the UCP situation and make it a little less expensive for ya! Thansk for getting some of my art, I love it. ❤
Man, I remember how I got my first Chara (Yes. Not DT card. Chara.) Then I got second Chara. Then destroyed both Charas so I can buy 1 new DT card. Quess what? *Chara.*
I used to play the crap out of this game two years ago. It’s very fun. My biggest complaint is that they are regularly patching cards and changing them, often invalidating the way you were playing before. But in my experience most card changes were buffs to older cards, so I don’t have too much to complain about
I absolutely love this game. I kinda stopped about half a year ago (couldn’t keep that daily asking for evil wobbly thing in uc smh), but I’ve been thinking about getting back into it!
The really funny thing about the Gaster Blaster card is that you can either attack one monster for 8 damage or shoot yourself for 8 damage. I don't even think there are reasons you would do that outside of very niche scenarios but it is very funny.
@characookie241 the feature for gaster blasters being able to hit you was added during a new season, where there was a quest to kill a player with one. take a wild guess what month it was in XD
Huh, this game's still around? I remember playing it a bit way back when it first started, along with other games like clickertale and that one karting game. Always figured they'd eventually die off, but glad to see this one didn't.
Oh i love this game! ive been playing for about a year now and streaming it monthly and im just about to get the final dt! I understand your pain the legend card spam was so painful early on! Lucky for me there used to be some very jank strategies i thrived on for months that took very few legendary cards unfortunatley they patched it out with balance tweaks tho! getting my friends to join and play has been impossible XD
heyo, former uc player (of 2 seasons) here, this game is truely fun and ive met amazing and truely comical people in the uc space. im truely glad to see people get into it, and its wonderful how i continue to see UC get so much love these past few weeks. amazing art and animation, pretty funny video, gets a 10/10 from me. (PS: if you see Frogman in discussions, bully him.....)
as a level 1k player of undercards, i tend to not underestimate lower levels. the only thing we have is more dt cards, and ranks only limits it to 1 so yeah but in classic *the olden days of just playing around* its fun to just flex out all your dts XD
i kinda stopped playing a little after they reworked Muffet and Pizzapants... I know it's petty but they removed the ONLY strategy i was capable of running with the cards I had. Basically you were able to summon near infinite spiders in a single turn. You would play a spider, which buffs Muffet, and they kill the spider by making it hit a monster. Pizzapants would then return it to your hand or something, and it was a repeatable loop until your opponent had no cards on the field, and then if muffet was buffed enough she could one shot them.
Ah, undercards. The game ive discovered 2 or 3 times now. I used to play it a while ago, and uh got pretty bored from having no strategy at all thinking of playing it again
I feel like an Undertale card game should have a "pacifist" win condition. In fact, when I saw Soulless Kris's card in the video, I thought filling the board with fountains could be a win condition too
Technically, you can deck out the opponent and wait for them to keel over while never attacking yourself. It's something. (The old Chara did use to be an alternate win condition, though. They used to cost an insane amount of gold, but would instantly win you the game by dealing 9999999 Damage to the opponent. The effect got changed, though, so they no longer do that.)
@@TraitorousHomeworlder Nowadays? Probably really bad. IIRC there's now a specific artifact (basically a passive effect you can choose 2 of when starting a round) that prevents you from overdrawing cards, which stops the cards from being destroyed. Plus, like, the deck-out damage from when I used to play (before event Chapter 1 of Deltarune released) is REALLY slow. It starts at 1, then goes to 2, then doubles itself over and over until they die. So you'd need to survive several extra turns without ever attacking which is... impractical. Maybe it's different and there's better stalling options in the modern version, who knows?
*Undertale card game with Undertale Yellow cards* Me: You may have many under your spell, but it's going to take more than that to impress me- *Kanako and Chujin card is animated* Me: OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH (No joke, as soon as I saw it move I actually pogged and went to make an account immediately lol)
take it from me someone who has been playing off and on for YEARS you will have to deal with the occasion bullshit and someone of you may have saw the animated chujin skin well as of today this is the LAST DAY you can get it as its a pass skin which means that Stowy paid at least 15$ USD to get the pass and the ceroba skin (dont think i did not see that)
I used to love this game! But then they addes some new mechanics, that even reading them make me kill myself. Also new random cards like Lancer's carpet or something (I mean, really...?) Also I remember how haste cards on Purple soul tactic was OP back then
Fun fact: I got addicted to playing this for the past months just because I won against foxxy005 as a newbie. Even got more when I got Clover for free.
I swear on god I’ve played a game literally identical to this except it wasn’t undertale themed Like the whole hp and damage thing, attacking a card means the cards damage each other, special abilities, this game is from SOMEWHERE but I swear it wasn’t the same game Am I going insane?
me when gaster blaster hits face (sans and voidlaser usage skyrocket to 99.2%) if yall want a great starting deck, here you go JUSTICE Artifacts: Preservation Good Food Cards: Dual x3 Glowing Shroom (optional, can be swapped with Tasque or another spell) Vasebreaker Blitz Quiz x2 Bag o' Goodies x2 Punishment Stalagmite x2 Tall Miner x2 Tasque Waterfall Sign x3 Headshot x2 Powerhouse x2 Magic Crystal x2 Clover (also optional. it's not necessary in any way, almost any other dt that isnt barrier, giga queen, or heroine works here, you can also just add more tasques) PLAYSTYLE: CONTROL/ONE TURN KNOCKOUT

I tried playing this game and while I had some decent fun it definitely was not for me. I like the soul system (it’s similar to the Hero system in Bloons Card Storm which is something I also like) but this game can get really unbalanced to the point where I think this is the least balanced trading card game I’ve ever played. DT cards especially are really stupid with their rarity wide silence immunity. Bear in mind I haven’t played in 9 months so some stuff might have been fixed or changed but I just don’t think the game is very well balanced imo.
