    Hey Reefers! My videos aren’t a lecture, but rather a discussion. Please feel free to ask questions and provide your feedback and tips as well. I always welcome discussions! Happy Reefing!

      Thank you! Yeah, my old reefing mentor had Kessils and I decided to use them ever since.

    Hey Matt. Do you dose any trace elements? Or are you just getting your trace elements with water changes ? Also, if you’re just doing water changes how much water and how often do you do water changes for your 75 gallon SPS tank? Thanks for sharing, i always look forward to watching your vids.

      I dose Seachem Reef Fusion 2 part. It has some trace elements in it with the calcium part, but I don’t test or try to correct trace elements. I just do a 40% water change once every 3-4 weeks.

    Whats that suuuuuper-red thing on the right? Leptoseris?

    • @Reefer_Matt
      @Reefer_Matt  13 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Not sure which coral you mean, but yes, I do have a red and orange lepto in the tank. Also monti cap and monti setosa. Thanks for checking it out!

      @Reefer_Matt must be the lepto then. Awesome looking, never seen this kind in germany. 99% orange here 😭

    What are your kessil settings

    • @Reefer_Matt
      @Reefer_Matt  15 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      My Kessils never go above 55% intensity. They go down to 30% when the Reefbrite fixture is on, and at 100% for color (white). I have the violets at 100% and some red and green during peak period. When the Reefbrites are off the Kessils ramp to blues and intensity goes to 55% then down to 0% for the night. Opposite of that in the morning. Peak par is only 280 ish during the day. Basically my Kessil graph looks like an “M”.

      @Reefer_Matt nice I’m running 2 on a 40 breeder with t5 with violet matching intensity at 20-30-15-10 and t5 on for 8 hours but I don’t know what my par is lol

      Luckily they have cheaper options for par meters now. I saw some threads on R2R discussing some of them. Maybe they are worth a try?

    Great video alk is a big deal I believe nitrates should be between 5 and 20 also I try not to allow my alkalinity to drop below 8 and I keep it between 8.5 to 9 also I do a 15 percent water change instead of 10 percent

    • @Reefer_Matt

      Thanks! Yeah, I’ve been having some alk swings in my frag tank, and they are definitely letting me know that they aren’t happy about it.
