Just finished watching this show, and my goodness, what a ride it was. I feel like I should really share what I think the theme of this entire story is: The determination of human beings overcoming overwhelming odds and relying on ones self instead of a deity. With Yuki Yuna’s heavy emphasis on religious allegories and the ending it decided to go with, I feel like it’s trying to tell its audience that while being somewhat dependent on a religious figure helps keeps us on the straight and narrow, in the end it’s up to us as individuals to overcome our own trials and tribulations by our own actions and not be fully dependent on a deity, for that would only lead to suffering to yourself or to others
I feel quite the same way as you. Human overcoming their reliance on deities is really what I love the most about this show (aside from the music, of course). Actually, I guess it is not necessarily religious, as I think it is an allegory of people coming out of their comfort zone (e.g. their guardian, family, highschool) to face real life. This aspect makes me find the show incredibly relatable. I really hope there are more anime like this in the future :)))

This track is too beautiful and perfect for this wretched world. It's so out of body it doesn't even feel real, yet I've listened to it over and over and can't stop. May the gods bless you for giving us this lyrical and melodic composition of euphoria and relief incarnate that made even the Heavens tremble at its pure cathartic weight, Keiichi Okabe and Keigo Hoashi. And Emi Evans, Nakagawa Nami and the whole of Studio MONACA. It really feels like the War has finally ended, and our Heroes can finally be at peace. Thank you, Shinju-sama. Goodbye, Takashima Yuuna.
What happens if you combine two of the best oats of the series? It turns to the most epic thing you've ever heard of The composer really outdid him self with this one
Simply beautiful, this music fits the ending perfectly and it made me tear up when watching it. I just loved it, this series touched me like no other could, and I hold it dearly . I liked the ending a lot, and I like it's message, one must believe in human strength and learn how to overcome the dependence on the gods even if that means treading a harder and riskier path. The ending, and series in general, also addresses the following question: Is it okay and acceptable to live in a world only obtainable through the sacrifice of little innocent girls? Is the benefit of the many enough to justify doing something so inhuman? If we give up our humanity just so that we can survive longer, are we even human any more? The Taisha's answer was "yes" they chose to give up their humanity to reach the Shinju's paradise while sacrificing Yuuna, a small sacrifice according to them if it means saving everyone, that has always been the Taisha's philosophy, to send girls to their doom for the sake of saving what's left of humanity. But the Heroes chose a different answer, they rejected such world "A world I can only obtain through the sacrifice of my friends and other people, I don't want such world". The show argues that, we can't say "we survived" if it means giving up our humanity, because that's what makes us humans. That's why the Heroes said "We choose to live our life as humans" that was their final prayer to the Shinju, and in an act of empathy their prayer was accepted and the God sacrificed itself instead of Yuuna to grant that wish and give them a world without the interference of the Gods, a world where they have to rely on themselves going forward, but despite all the hurdles and difficulties that may lie ahead , at least they'll overcome it and prevail together as humans and not let little girls shoulder all the responsibility. The Heroes believed in human strength, and so did the Gods and all the spirits of the past. And they'll continue to believe, as humans rebuild what was taken from them. It's such a great ending, and the blue bird flying into the free sky for the first time made better, it felt like the show was rewarding me for reading the novels, because I knew what it was and how much it meant. Hopefully NoWaYu also gets the anime treatment. I just can't express how much I love this series, and I hope it gets more content in the future.

I love this show, and these characters. Even if this is the end, I think I'd be okay with it. Granted, I'm still hoping the prequel series with Togo's ancestor gets a season of it's own, too.
You mean Sonoko, right? Nogi Wakaba is Sonoko's ancestor. (Though tbh, Wakaba and Sumi/Togo have A LOT in common. And that's probably why the shot where Wakaba's spirit materializes next to her and turns her head toward her is so GYAAAAAAAH SO EMOTIONAL JUST LIKE THE WHOLE DAMN FINALE)

@Andre Yitzack mena neyra Yeah, i just hope they won't follow the Manga but the original Novel Good drawings, but geez, they cut out a lot some information
So it turns out 6 episodes isn't enough to cap off the series. Season 3 is off to a good start and the OP is incredible (showing what the heroes sacrificed and regained).
I just finished the whole series of Yuuki Yuuna. I really love it. I also love Nogi Sonoko, Kana Hanazawa made her more perfect. But ofc I love all of the characters, I will subscribe to this channel even though its probably no longer active as an effort to leave some history in TH-cam for Yuuki Yuuna.
2019 and YuYuYu still has a better execution on characters and plot than PMMM did, despite it doesn't have as beautiful and eerie aesthetic as PMMM Period
God YuYuYu was SO much better than PMMM. The more time passes the more I see PMMM as just plain bad, or at the very least painfully ordinary and lackluster. YuYuYu, on the other hand, still holds my interest just as strongly as it did three years ago. I will never understand the hype for PMMM, especially when this AMAZING series just gets ignored.
@@flowerfaerie8931 to be fair, if it was only the first season, then yuyuyu wasn't very outstanding, I would still rate PMMM over Yuyuyu first season. It was really the nogi wakaba prequel and the second season that added a lot of weight to the series that make me love Yuyuyu

And I assumed the Blue Spirit was Wasshi's but no...theyre all still alive. So the colored spirits should belong to someone else...and a major future character I supposed...and now that I think about it again...I'm sure it should be characters from NoWaYu I guess? Or I might be wrong. Please enlighten me...

They’re all the spirits of past Heroes. Chikage and the NoWaYu girls (except Takashima Yuna) plus Utano can be seen, as well as Gin and Sekka and Natsume, two heroes who were introduced in the YuYuYui series, and of course the Hero Club.
@@Scatterblades she ended up mixed with the shinju before she dies....and gyuki has got the flower represents takashima, same as nogi wakaba(the blue bird represents wakaba, and got her flower too)
They pretty much mean the exact same thing. Wiki definition of Corolla is 'Together, all of the petals of a flower are called a corolla.' Hence why I changed it to United Petals instead. It has a nice ring to it and is easier to understand. I see the heroes (past and present) as the petals working together to fight the enemy.
3:37 - 3:46 "I'm not sure i have been there, me too. He's here" Shouldn't the "He's here" be "I'm here"? coz the next line is "Don't be afraid anymore". It makes more sense for that part to be "I'm here" given the situation of the characters and the only character that was there to protect Togo was Yuna.
This belongs to the Yuuki Yuuna wa Yuusha de Aru: Yuusha No Shou OST. I have made playlists (you'll find them on the front page of my channel) with all the songs in their respective albums and they are numbered accordingly :)
Yuuna never want to become a God nor become a one. She only gained the remaining power from the God (which is powerful as hell) to kill more powerful God. Even then Yuuki Yuuna accomplished more in this mere moment than Madokami in her entire moment before being corrupted by Homura.
No. Madoka's literally MUCH more powerful and much 100% better in everything and anything. Yuna literally needed the power/strength of all of her friends combined and even then, she lost the power she had in the end. Madoka did everything, herself, became a literal God, and rewrote a entire infinite multiverse to save everybody and everyone
So I just noticed... You know all those ghosts of fallen Heroes? Takashima Yuuna (NoWaYu) isn't included, nor are any of the other Yuunas like Akamine. Granted, Yuzuki and Fuyou probably don't count as they were only named by Taisha for a rather silly reason and never became Heroes. If there can only be one Yuuna at any time, it's possible Yuuki Yuuna bears both her own name and Takashima's, and possibly Akamine's as well. If they elaborate on this in season 3, that would be really interesting. If true, this would indicate that Yuuna, not Sonoko as Taisha thought, was the best person to confront Fuu and Mimori when they lost control, because Akamine's role was a peacekeeper, not fighting Vertexes, but quelling uprisings and terrorist attacks.
@@dango6266Yeah.. sure.. the "god" in question being a glorified orange sun which does nothing but float doing literally nothing. Madoka aka Madokami-sama/LoC is a actual literal all powerful God who exists/is literally everywhere and anywhere and can actually move and go everywhere and anywhere in a instant.

The closest thing that it feels "The Finale!" with NieR/Drakengard feeling

Hey neptune..
How many Times have you rewatched it now that this is 2021 ?
Thanks a lot. This song is simply amazing. I've been waiting for it.
Just finish the show, So beautiful and sad at the same time.
read the nogi wakaba wa yuusha de aru light novel (the prequel to this series) it's even more beautiful and sad
I cried with this scene 😭💖🌸
Thanks for suggesting this YT, now my PTSD is back
Honestly, the final part of medley?
It sounds like it's actually for NoWaYu anime. Wakaba almost dead but she beat the vertex
NoWaYu anime you say?
One can hope. If NoWaYu gets animated it's gonna be so epic.
The LN is amazing , I really wish it does get animated in the near future.
The day NoWaYu gets animated, I might actually cry even before the saddest parts of that arc oml
@Andre Yitzack mena neyra
Yeah, i just hope they won't follow the Manga but the original Novel
Good drawings, but geez, they cut out a lot some information
Considering the other two parts, A Girl’s Wish and Usuyukisou, played at the end of WaSuYu and YuYuYu respectively, you just may be right.
we get YuYuYu S3 instead haha
Thank you, Akira Toriyama, for everything.
Tell the world… we’ll all keep making you proud.

i love how i can still hear a bit of drag-on-dragoon 3 motifs here where on the later seasons are more nier sounding
damn remember feels train of Kaine, Nier, Zero, and Caim fate :'(
So it turns out 6 episodes isn't enough to cap off the series. Season 3 is off to a good start and the OP is incredible (showing what the heroes sacrificed and regained).
I have such a "Nier Automata" language of the Ancients vibe.

真っ先に駆けつけてくれたのは銀。
そして、あの場に歴代勇者の魂を導いたのはきっと若葉とひなただと推察してます。
I just finished the whole series of Yuuki Yuuna. I really love it. I also love Nogi Sonoko, Kana Hanazawa made her more perfect. But ofc I love all of the characters, I will subscribe to this channel even though its probably no longer active as an effort to leave some history in TH-cam for Yuuki Yuuna.
Nice
For the past and future 👍
bro all i wanted to do was listen to music by keiichi okabe but now im crying over a song used in an anime i have never even seen before in my life
That last bit of the trilogy makes me think the show is pretty similar to Final Fantasy XIII, but with better storytelling
2019 and YuYuYu still has a better execution on characters and plot than PMMM did, despite it doesn't have as beautiful and eerie aesthetic as PMMM
Period
Lunartic Skele-bone Agreed, strongly agreed.
Didn't bother about PMMM anymore after I watched the finale.
@@flowerfaerie8931 if you look into PMMM and Yuyuyu carefully, you can actually find them strikingly similar to each other in terms of their theme. And yet with completely different art style, music and ending, showcasing two vastly different interpretation.
That's why I love both series and never actually compared them, it's a very interesting thing to look at.
Reminder that the original concept of Drakengard 3 involved a girl using her cell phone to summon a dragon/transform.
Let that sink in while you listen to this.
This song really fit for gin
Shinju died and turned into fucking petroleum for your sins

This part sounds almost the same as "Vague hope" from NieR:Automata
That was the name of the song i was looking for, 3 years later but thank you!
Anything with Emi Evans is bound to be good.
I can never get over this episode and scene...especially when Gin's spirit first appeared and I started crying like crazy because I knew Wasshi had lowkey gave up on hope and humanity...and the moment Gin appeared...i was like...ah...Being Meguca is indeed suffering...and it took me some time to realised that the Blue Crow that had Yuuna saw previously was actually Nogi Wakaba...Sonocchi's ancestors...at first I assumed the other colored (A-side from gold) to be the spirits of her friends.
Yes it its the character from nowayu 😭👍the fact that chikage spirit is still theres was so heartbreaking for me because the way she died and also the way taisha never give her a proper grave for her ;((
Yuna wore Thanos glove and destroyed god.
HERO PUNCH!!
Finallyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You have me here now
I will not go down
Because you lift me up
Now that you are found
I will not let go
Though I am alone
I will watch over you
I can give you hope
Please wait there for me
Do not forget me
With you to the end
We are your best friends
You must not worry
Please wait here for me
Not matter what
Your dream is your own
“It’s not worth the fight”
You shout in the night
Best of all friends
I’m sick of the spite
“How are you doing?”
It’s a futile thing
We are on our own
But we’re free
“It’s not worth the fight”
You shout in the night
Best of all friends
I’m sick of the spite
Of the spite
Do not
Give in

No concern
I can’t tell if I’ve been here before

But can’t do

Wow this song made me sad 😢😢😢😢

1:02 call me crazy or late but I think the red one is Chikage!
They’re all the spirits of past Heroes. Chikage and the NoWaYu girls (except Takashima Yuna) plus Utano can be seen, as well as Gin and Sekka and Natsume, two heroes who were introduced in the YuYuYui series, and of course the Hero Club.

I’m pretty sure the title of this song, Kakan, translates to Corolla, not United Petals. Says so on Wikia.
Nogi Sonoko Ah. Okay. That works!

I think team MONACA can be compared to the likes of the big guns like Kajiura Yuki & Sawano Hiroyuki!!! who objects?!?
3:37 - 3:46 "I'm not sure i have been there, me too. He's here"
Shouldn't the "He's here" be "I'm here"? coz the next line is "Don't be afraid anymore". It makes more sense for that part to be "I'm here" given the situation of the characters and the only character that was there to protect Togo was Yuna.
....So Yuuki Yuuna is Drakengard 4/Nier except things didn't quite go to shit as bad.

Nothing less from the Nier men
This anime have much better ost than Automata's anime
This Reminds Me Of Nier
This track, of all the albums that were released from the franchise, to which it belongs?
This belongs to the Yuuki Yuuna wa Yuusha de Aru: Yuusha No Shou OST. I have made playlists (you'll find them on the front page of my channel) with all the songs in their respective albums and they are numbered accordingly :)
Thank you, you have made someone very happy, Emi Evans that beautiful voice
Ah yes. My favorite ending: an uncertain happy ending.
Perhaps things would have gone better in the drakengard/nier universe if these girls had been there...
Goddess Yuuna!
Madoka : Hold my beer
YES KKKKKKK
Yuuna never want to become a God nor become a one. She only gained the remaining power from the God (which is powerful as hell) to kill more powerful God.
Even then Yuuki Yuuna accomplished more in this mere moment than Madokami in her entire moment before being corrupted by Homura.
Yuuna is more powerful than madoka period. I mean just look. And Yuuna isn't a God. She's a hero.
Excuse me, a true hero.
3:18
Ultimate Madoka Who?
Yuna doesn't become god though. She kills him.
