It turns out I may be wrong about ceramic ball bearings underneath the bezel. I did some more research on this, and a reddit user who claims to have worked on modern Tudor dive watches stated Tudor divers do not have ceramic ball bearings underneath the bezel. If you have further information on this, please let me know in the comments below. I failed to mention the bracelet, like the case and clasp, is completely brushed. I did not list the 21mm lug width as a con. In today's world, there are plenty of 21mm straps available. This watch lives on bracelet. I did not spend any considerable time using the supplied rubber straps, so I cannot comment on the rubber straps supplied by Tudor. Great review, I love that watch. I’m a big fan of the Pelagos line, I picked up an FXD last year to join my LHD. Hopefully the next time I stop by the AD they have one for me to try on.
Thank you. I visited your channel last night lol. I talked my local Tudor AD via text for about an hour, and he stated he can’t keep the Pelagos 39 in stock. He has a waitlist for them. As soon as they come in they leave. I love the Pelagos line, too.
The long clasp is a gripe of some. Not bothersome to me, even with my small 6.25” wrist. Congrats on the purchase. It’s definitely a one and done diver and daily driver. Add you a nice dress piece to your collection, assuming you don’t have one, and you’re all set. No need for anything else.
@@chiatte135 That's a tough call, because I do not know your taste in watches. A Santos would be a good choice. You could also opt for a Rolex datejust 36, or even the recently discontinued Tudor datejust or daydate (you have to look but you can find them) to save a little coin. Tissot PRX. Cartier tank. Perhaps a GS dress piece. There's so many options.
@@chiatte135 Depends on price range. My personal philosophy is that i spend money on things I use often. So my everyday watch or sports watches I'll spend more on. My dress watch I wear in nice gentle occasions I spent only 1.7k on. It's gold vintage, and great condition. But I'd go longines flagship dress watch or something like a king Seiko remake if shopping new dressy and everyday style dress watch. But anything that's not a G-Shock and ppl will think your watch is appropriate in a suit 👌
@@robertwilliams1286 Agreed. I love wear and tear on daily ‘tool watches.’ I don’t like to see it on dress pieces. I reserve my dress watches for special occasions and outings to preserve original condition as humanly possible. This is why I don’t care for dressy watches much, yet one is essential in all collections.
Tudor tends to do that to naysayers of snowflake hands and dials. When I was ‘head over heels’ for the Rolex submariner, I recall stumbling upon the Tudor submariner snowflake for the first time. While I liked them, I perceived both the snowflake hands and markers to be funky, odd, and even a tad bizarre. Snowflake Tudors grew on me. Started to prefer the handset over traditional Rolex mercedes handsets. And when I learned about the military history and heritage behind snowflake handsets and dials, I fell more in love with Tudor. I also learned overtime both snowflake dials and handsets are easier to read than traditional mercedes handsets and markers found on Rolex watches.
If only we could get every watch we fall for!! I’m certainly not independently wealthy to do so! Lol…. Besides my desire for another replacement Sub, I have my eye on a Doxa Sub300T. Under 2k. I grew up watching Jacques Cousteau and that was his preferred diver.
@@RSSpec I’m a relatively young millennial. I don’t think I’ve ever watched him before, so I’ll have something new to research today lol. I love the look and history of Doxa watches. Their orange and yellow dials, for example, are beautiful. Unfortunately all available Doxa watches are too large for me, so I won’t be adding one to the collection 🫤
@@RabbitWatchShop The Doxa Sub 200 is smaller and very wearable and under 1k… Mr Jacques Cousteau invented SCUBA diving as we know it. Great review. And I love the titanium and the titanium gray color.
For smaller wrists Tudor really needs to have an FXD39
@@mjdm1925 an FXD 39 would be awesome
Just bought last month. Great watch. Guess its my one and done. The only off is clasp, its too long

It’s taken a while but I’m finally warming up to the snow flake hands on Tudor’s. They used to turn me off to them… funny how that works! Lol

Mine says UZ, not RP 🤷♂️
This mystery is a head scratcher. I’m determined to find out what it means lol. May have to consult the forums
@@RabbitWatchShop i think its called a clasp code, and if its the same as rolex, the code tells you what year its made.
My best guess 🤷♂️
