Filmed live at Asheville Masonic Temple, presented by The Grey Eagle and Worthwhile Sounds. Amazing band in a magical setting! (The show later that evening ripped, too) Kudos to all involved with this one, especially Eric, Anais, Josh and the band.
Thanks! I work at The Asheville Masonic Temple - we appreciate your kind words! The Grey Eagle team, film production team, band and their crew were great to work with!
I have been to hundreds of shows shows in my life, and this show was easily my favorite in a long time. A combination of the band, the stage, the acoustics of the auditorium, and an excellent crowd created a fabulous show.
One fine morn' Just after dawn My love and I are ridin' Dew on the trees Sun in the east Slippin' and a-slidin' [Chorus] Goodbye to California Seems like we hardly knew ya Seems good a time as any To believe in the land of plenty [Verse 2] With a broken heart And a crow in the yard My love and I are leavin' Down the road a ways The hills ablaze Lookin' for a reason [Chorus] Goodbye to the old country Seems like you hardly knew me Seems good a time as any To believe in the land of plenty [Instrumental Bridge] [Chorus] Goodbye to the old country Seems likе you hardly knew me Seems good a time as any To bеlieve in the land of plenty Goodbye to California Seems like we hardly knew ya Seems good a time as any To believe in the land of plenty
I looked for the meaning of the "crow in the yard". It seems that for some people a dead crow in the yard is a symbol of a failed dream. This meaning fits here absolutely. Correct?
when are the directors of music videos going to stop bouncing the views around every freaking second as if that somehow makes it more artistic .. would be nice to focus on them playing and avoid a headache from trying to keep up with the non-stop 'action' ...
Lame. They spelled "Bonnie" wrong, and they forgot to pluralize the noun... They should be called "The Bonnie Horsemen", but they aren't bonnie, nor do they appear to be horsemen of any kind... The song sounds like a Folger's Coffee commercial, the words are lame, and modern music sucks.
Absolutely gorgeous tune, beautiful harmonies…this is what it sounds like when you’re at the top of your game. 👏👏👏
EDJ's Fruit Bats is one of my all-time favorite bands. Seeing him perform with other talented musicians on The Late Show is an unexpected joy!
Oh man, you're in for a treat... their self titled album won a Grammy... and the new album "Keep Me On Your Mind" is their best thus far imo.
what a crisp sounding kit!! god damn!
JT Bates is so good! I love his playing.
Great song, great band, and great visuals.
what visuals ?? every second it's a new view .....
LOVE this band!!!
Well informed audio mix
Pretty please!! bring them back to do another song on the show!!

too bad the camera work is lame and distracting from the tune ....

I like when the woman sings. Her voice gives me chills when she sings "the roving". I like her hair. Rocking the undercut. Me too. I dig it.
That's Anaiis Mitchell
@@toddsanders3380 she's a gem

[Verse 2]
With a broken heart
And a crow in the yard
My love and I are leavin'
Down the road a ways
The hills ablaze
Lookin' for a reason
[Chorus]
Goodbye to the old country
Seems like you hardly knew me
Seems good a time as any
To believe in the land of plenty
[Instrumental Bridge]
[Chorus]
Goodbye to the old country
Seems likе you hardly knew me

West Coast = Best Coast 😎
East Coast = Least Coast 😝
Sweetbread should have been the song played. It was a missed opportunity 😅

and the bad camera work don't help ....
Wow! That’s a little harsh.😮
@@pamdanieson7371 y'know, you might be right; I was in a rotten mood 11 months ago, now that I think of it... I'll give them another listen.
Glad to hear that! You’re awesome! 😊
