Oh man, that - pin up on the left and down on the right - saved the day!! When I was able to remove all of the top three drawers (on my four drawer chest), I was able to clearly see the locking rod at the very back and easily unlock it. Thank you kind sir!
This is a pretty solid little workbench. While once you figure out how it comes together, it is physically Easy to assemble th-cam.com/users/postUgkxyFZUPFEey-PuqsPMxqaykBhgA1LWxFHh by yourself. But the diagrams explaining the steps are really pretty bad. I could not get the handle pins in all the way despite multiple attempts, so I just used a screw I had on hand for the 2nd handle. I could not get the first pin in further or pull it back out. You are supposed to hammer it in, but I had no leverage and the handle is plastic and I did not want to risk breaking it. I will get a lot of use out of the bench because of the convenient size and height. It does fold up nicely for storage. They even explain how to fold it so you don't get pinched...that is important!
Yes! tried everything, drilled out lock but the mechanism was stuck in "locked" mode the lock is based on gravity. so I flipped it over and it unlocked! but your tools fall out need to be reorganized! but I got it opened!
Thank you for posting this video. I was struggling all night... I never flipped over my tool chest. I only did the bottom box and my tool chest is stuck... I'm going to try this in the morning!!!!
@@ToolsElectroDIY This worked but not just flipping it over and knocking on it.. I got out some needle nose pliers and had to wiggle the mechanism. It's accessible at the bottom of the tool chest which is different from the cabinet in your video.
Is there anyway to replace the entire locking mechanism on the front of the tool chest? I havent been able to find a replacement lock that has the rod insert on the back of the lock… any advice would help greatly.
My right side won't unlock and idk what to do. Its like the locking mechanism won't go up all the way. Plus my key doesn't turn 180 degrees? It's only a quarter turn.
@@ToolsElectroDIY I actually just fixed it. Mine does turn 180 degrees the lock itself was not engaging all the way to I had to give a some extra force and it went freely and I sprayed some lubricant and it works perfectly now

Not sure
Thanks for the video. Very helpful.
My pleasure!
How are you going to flip the cabinet over if its full of tools ????
Remove the drawers first. If locked, you don't have a choice but to flip it over.
Very loudly, in my case ;-)
Yes, and with some help!
Good job. Exactly what I needed to understand
Thanks for watching I’m glad you find it useful
Thank you!!!
I'm glad it was helpful! Did you fix the lock issue?
What is the part number of your drawer slides?
I don’t know
If you could please help me on that, it is normally located on the side of slider when you open your drawer. I would really appreciate it.
