Because unlike other isekais where the mc is a teenage bumass loser before reincarnation, Tanya in her original life studied in Chicago School of Economics, learned mutliple languages and became a respectfull salaryman. He knew his stuff, and now she knows her stuff.

Hell, Chad and Ethiopia didn't officially stop using child soldiers until 2014. In the context of this anime though, it's not at all infeasible (15-16 year old boys fought in the trenches during WWI--most prominently during the Gallipoli Campaign--and in WWII there was the infamous German SS Youth Division. The youngest US soldier during WWII was a 12-year old named Calvin L. Graham, albeit he lied about his age to get in and wasn't found out until after he got wounded).
I put all animes of isekai quartet at the best spot at their own right. Overlord - op mc with great politics Re:zero - psychological Konosuba - comedy; adventurer party Youjo Senki - Machiavellianism; warfare Although I do get the hype for Re:zero, I do agree that Youjo Senki is quite underrated.
First season mirrors ww1, movie is interwar period. But when the inevitable second season drops it will be ww2. This seasons Empire vs Republic war mirrors ww1 western front. Second seasons Empire vs Federation war will mirror ww2 eastern front.
@@avisdunrandom spoiler: Zettour will be Youjo Senki version of real life Ludendorff, will become defacto military dictator of the Empire. I would say Empire politics will remain close to ww1, while the way warfare is waged will be like ww2. Federation ,just like irl USSR , will be the biggest enemy of the Empire, while the Kingdom of Albion(Britian) and the Unified States(USA) prepare to land on the continent. I would say movie is finished in pretty much irl summer 1941. And the second season will probably cover irl 1941-1943. AND the word on the net says that the reason second season still hasn't dropped is because of how much battles will be waged in Ukraine this season. Studio Nut is scared to be branded as propaganda in this "delicate" times.
@@yigitoz8387 don't think japenese studio care that much of foreign feedback since they mostly care about national one and since the Anime portray a fictif rebrand Germany, the japenese won't be mad. Might be different if the author choose Russia :/

If you go into any Japanese video about Youjo Senki you will see Japanese people talking about the war and it's effect on Japanese media. Japanese understanding of "war profiteering" is very strange.
