The ice bucket drenching in the thermal suite is really not that bad. When I tried it, the water was definitely not icy, it felt more like cold tap water at home. Of course you do this after you soaked in the heated pool.
We were on the same cruise and I have to put in a good word for Alta. The Northern Lights Cathedral was beautiful. We also enjoyed going to the mall where the locals hang and getting some insight into what it is like to live there. It is a small city in a very remote, but beautiful area and a very different life from our own. If only the weather had cooperated so we could see the Northern Lights! You are absolutely right about the food, it was amazing, as was the spa.
Alta and Thomson are very nice towns (been to both before on Hurtigruten cruises). At least we did see the lights one night…better than nothing! 😂 Viking has wonderful food! They just changed the menu after the same menu for 7 years and I’ve eaten some beyond wonderful “yum.” Best to you and thanks for your time to view and comment, Sheila 😍
This was my first time visiting the spa and had no idea there was so much to offer, Chip. Also, didn't bring a bathing suit. Norway. Winter. Thinking "Why do I need a bathing suit" ...duh.
@@SheilaSimkin indeed they are and they are tying up with Skyteam due to I think a stake KLM has in them. Correct me if I’m wrong. I quite like their lounges with the salad buffet and soup. X
It is crazy, Eddy. Other ships charge in Euro. I guess one or the other gives passengers the best choice. Thanks so much for the compliment. Very, very appreciated. 🥰
ha ha ha ha ...only if being air lifted off an iceberg......might suggest it to their marketing dept. Upside for you SAS is leaving Star Alliance and joining SkyTeam.
This was great. Thanks folks.
Thank you as always, Morrie, for your comments and views. How are things going? Hope good.

I'm brining bathing suit on next Viking and "maybe" will give the ice bucket a try, or the snow cave. thanks for your views and comments. 😍

Good morning 😊
Sorry, Warren, missed you again. 🤪 Hope you are having a wonderful week? 😍
@@SheilaSimkin no problem I’m the one who has been busy. Going back to work between cruises. San Antonio is not a bad place to be in the interim 😀😎
I love me a Pimms in summertime! (although I'd love one on a winter cruise too....)
I have never had a Pimms, Jeff. At least don't think so but are you referring to an alcoholic drink or the fruit cup? 🤔
I've had the cocktail, a great drink in the summertime
@SheilaSimkin I've had the cocktail/highball
@@JeffK787 Hmm... something else to tuck in my pathetic memory bank. 😍
I’ve just booked SAS to Finland 😆
Another viewer just told me SAS is leaving Star Alliance which I am thrilled about.
