To me he is Sgt.Bananas. Even as a kid when I saw him in that mag that’s who he was. They just called him Guerilla Gorilla from his description on the vintage toy pack. I can’t wait to get mine after so many delays. I got him to go with my toon tmnt since he never appeared, I think he will fit perfectly. Looks dope asf
I love your "Whole wave review" for the S7 TMNT Ultimates and I've really missed your videos for waves 7, 8, 9 and 10. I hope you get to make them down the line. To me, your reviews are the best "whole wave review" in the tube: Short, sincere and concise but yet complete. Guess that the sincere part is the reason S7 haven't sent these last waves to you. Their loss (and everyone else's)
Gotta agree about the vine strap on the gun. If they weren't going to design it so he could hold it on his shoulder and shoot, they should have made it detachable, or designed it so the strap was hanging down
This definitely has the Archie aesthetic. It's a wonderful fit with the NECA series, and exactly what this line should do to continue expanding. The $75 price tag is a little insane, but it seems like it might actually be worth it. I've paid more for less.
I’ve been waiting for BBTS to tell me that my order is in. I’m so impatient. Really excited for this guy. It might not be SGT Bananas, but a big gorilla of any sort, is great.
This was definitely where the cracks of Super7 began to show. People bought into this line for Playmates remastered … not whatever this is. Cool that people liked it, but the whole Sgt. Bananas dance in 2022 while KidRobot and seemingly Mondo soon will be able to do Sgt. Bananas makes me think Bryan is full of shit. Doesn’t matter that they’re not the same character, you could say that for Ray-Filet and Man-Ray, but they’re spiritually the same. People wanted Playmates figures blown up and this was where they first started to veer off course.
I really hope mine is tight. The other figures in this wave for me have either been very loose (donnie and metalhead) or getting loose (triceraton and bebop)
@@ToyShiz I believe they're commenting on when you said he's never had an action figure before near the beginning of the video. This character has had a figure, he was just in a different outfit, since Sgt Bananas and Guerilla the Gorilla are one in the same.
@@ToyShiz They are though. Sgt Bananas' card back even calls him the Guerilla Gorilla, and his name tag says Guerilla the same as this iteration does. Playmates just renamed him in the 90s toy line. They're also recognized by the TMNT community as the same character. All that said, I agree that this is a version we've never gotten a figure of before. But it's more akin to getting a figure of 90s Mondo Gecko and an IDW comics version. Same character, different look
Same character. On Sergeant bananas' Nametag on the original figure, the name says: "guerrilla" on his suit. So therefore, this is just Sergeant bananas in a more sergeant-like design.
I just wish the design was a bit more "grown up" => He now looks to much like a kids toy maybe? And considering the 75 USD price, that just isn't the case...
@@butwhydoe4020 This was a from a small strip in a TMNT magazine, not a full fedged comic. But yeah, the Archie run of TMNT had a more cartoon look like this for a lot of characters

Perfect opportunity to have interchangeable feet. Imagine him doing handstands/ hanging upside-down and holding items with feet. Great review.
I think he's actually worth the price, just not one I need, nor do I have the space for him. Banandolier is my favorite accessory.

Hasn't this figure been on preorder for like three or four years now?
17 years
I don't know anything about the character, but I love him. fight the imperialist pigs, brother!

Sargent Bananas?
Awesome 🤩
i wonder if him and sgt banana's are related
I just dislike the pupils on the smiling face. I wish they would have painted those like the renders. But, what a cool fig. Excited for mine.
How would you siggest heating it up?
I use hot hot water.
Awesome ☕☕🥪🍌
Just call it Sargent Nanners
There is a figure that predates this, Seargant Gorilla is Guerilla Gorilla, from the original line.
You mean Sgt Bananas? The one that’s in this vid.

So this is not Sergeant bananas from the vintage playmates line
Or is it Sergeant bananas reimagined and they just changed his name

Can his jacket come off easily?
If you can get the arms off🤷♂️
@@ToyShiz that's what I figured, thanks!
Hasbro style paint reduction 🤮👎
Paint cheap, bulk great. Hope it goes on super clearance
@toyshiz toy. shiz. gorilla's. are. apes. not. monkeys.
Wait hold on, is this Amy from Congo?

@@Fenrizfur These Super 7 figures are supposed to look like the old Playamtes toys. So, it's doing what it's supposed to do.
The artwork in that comic book is terrible. Is that what TMNT comics looked like?
That one is sort of a spin-off comic and the art was more hit or miss in those.
