SALSAtlanta Steve Obatala

This Orisha represents leadership, knowledge and justice. He is the Father of all the Orishas; the eldest of the Orishas. Obatala watches over all younger Orishas and is revered as the king of the kings and the creator of all mankind. Always dressed in white, Obatala is portrayed as an older man and represents purity and calmness. He is a patient and compassionate deity, providing kindness to those who pray to him. Tonight, the Afro-Cuban, Yoruba Orisha Dance of Obatala is presented by Steve Reed of SALSAtlanta.
