Her lead of Hunter is a demonstration of her ability to change her tone from this one to a much lower one and sound good. I actually like Hunter better, but I think she was more prepared for that one. I believe it was at a different show.

Their parents did start them on classical piano around 5 years old, and there are videos of them all playing various classical pieces, some of them four-hands (Dany and Pau). When Dany was 8 or so, their parents bought them Rock Band (the game) as a present, and they were essentially addicted to it (again, Dany and Pau -- Ale was only 3, and really too young to play), and their parents asked them if they'd like to try other instruments for real, which they did and took to with a vengeance (once Dany figured out that a real guitar was very different from a Rock Band controller).
But the impetus to form a band was theirs. Their parents did not push them into it, but told them that if that was what they wanted to do they would have to put in the work, which as you noted they've done -- again, with a vengeance, and they've shown no signs of stopping. It really is a labor of love for Dany, Pau, and Ale. Given how many recording contracts they rejected because they didn't like the terms (they'd have to change their musical style and stage dress), and that they spent 7 months negotiating with Lava before they finally signed, I certainly don't think that their parents were looking to bask in the glory of their offspring or anything like that. If anything, I suspect that their parents have taught them the dangers of overnight fame (they are both big rock fans, and have seen their share of bands) and encouraged them to progress steadily and focus on work rather than fame.
Ale singing is practically the holy grail of The Warning fans, since it's so rare. In live versions of Choke, she sings two lines -- very important ones -- during the breakdown, in a very low register with an almost smoky tone. I practically jumped out of my seat the first time I saw that, in a live performance in The Warning Cave for their fans.
Han Tek posted the lyrics. The background at this point is that the protagonist of the album has just killed her intended (very operatic -- the concept of this album is rather more sophisticated than a lot of concept albums out there) and realizes that she cannot undo the deed (hence "red hands never fade", she can never wash away the stain of her act). So, it's a very grim song in subject, although musically it's rousing and danceable, perhaps second only to Survive in their discography.

Ale’s current lead vocal ability is a mystery (to anyone outside of their team), because I believe this was the last time she actually sang lead, and it was two years ago. She just turned 17 last month. During those two years Dany gained a lot of power and range. Ale sings a phrase during live performances of Choke (it’s a low section right after Dany’s high notes and Dany says it is hard to drop down that fast). Ale’s tone there is beautiful. She may not be able to hit the high notes in Choke now, but Dany would have struggled there at 17. Pau has a great voice but I don’t think she will develop that range - she has said she can’t sing Choke for instance. But we don’t know if Ale can.

EXCELLENT ANALYSIS AS ALWAYS, THAT'S THE GREAT THING ABOUT THE WARNING, THEY ARE 3 SISTERS WHO PLAY SEVERAL INSTRUMENTS,
SING AND COMPOSE THE 3 MAGNIFICENT PIECES OF ROCK. IN THIS VIDEO ALEJANDRA WAS 15 YEARS OLD, WHAT I'M SURE IS THAT SHE, DESPITE BEING THE YOUNGEST, WILL BECOME THE MOST IMPRESSIVE PART OF THE TRIO AND THAT'S ALREADY SAYING A LOT, BECAUSE DANIELA AND PAULINA ARE PHENOMENAL. BUT ALEJANDRA HAS A CAPTIVATING PERSONALITY, AN ABSOLUTE EAR, AND IS A PERFECTIONIST IN WHAT SHE DOES, OBVIOUSLY SHE NEEDS TO MATURE A LITTLE BIT, BUT I REITERATE SHE IS THE BRIGHTEST DIAMOND OF THE WARNING.

I think with some vocal coaching and training, Ale could be perfectly an additional lead vocal in the band. But this is not the issue (she is perfectly capable and her vocal harmonies with the other two are already great), I hear somewhere that she does not want to be a lead vocal (which is a pity!) and of course, Dany vocals are so outstanding that it is normal that she has taken the lead vocal of the band in Mayday EP (not sure about the other unreleased 6 tracks already recorded)

Very nice review! Ale doesn’t love to sing lead… but the great thing is: if it is necessary to help her sisters (if they have a sore throat for example), she does, and with a great quality! She was 15 in this video… they are naturally talented! Many fans hope that she will sing lead in one song on a future album… but even if not, it’s a great feeling for her sisters to have such a perfect backup! Thanks, greetings from Germany 👍⚡️🤘

There are very few TW songs that are completely within Ale's vocal range, mainly due to them being originally sung by Dany mostly or Pau. This song is in her zone. Thanks for the great reaction, as usual! Comments always on point. If you or anyone reading this comment wants to listen/react to another performance from Ale, this time of the song Hunter, you can check out this fan posted link: th-cam.com/video/kdA9HatBPc8/w-d-xo.html . The sound is much clearer (even if fan made) and the song suits Ale's voice tone much better. She sang it when the open for the so well-known band Stryper back in early 2020 I believe. It is hard to judge only with one performance, so a second one may be appropriate ;) It is always a gem when Ale sings, even if some hesitation in her voice may be the result of not liking to have all the spotlight, more than about her raw talent. Always great to see you come back to the Warning :):)

'Red Hands Never Fade' is part of their concept album Queen of the Murder Scene, which tells the story of a girl who goes from unrequited love to obsession, stalking, murder, and then the battle for her soul against her evil side. In this song, she turns remorseful after killing her love interest in a rage after he rejects her. Very deep lyrics for mid-teens!

Was wondering if Roy was going to mention that Ale sings this or let it be a surprise when he made the request. If memory serves, isn't this the show that Jason Flom showed up and started the process of getting them signed to Lava Records? Someone in TWA can elaborate/correct.
As for the cheesy family band discussion, it got me thinking. TH-cam is littered with family bands or even just non-related kid bands and most of the time they are cute and don't mangle the cover they are doing too badly. But there are exceptions (Cherri Bomb and Giffords Lane come to mind). I can go back 6 or 7 years to see The Warning doing covers or even original songs and be thoroughly entertained because even back then they were that good and had exceptional stage presence. Take for instance a Katy Perry cover of Roar they did 8 years ago, just watch it and you'll see all 3 girls sing lead at different parts of the song plus some gang vocals. Probably the only time Ale sang lead and not filling in for Dany.

She sounds great for being around 15 years old, and not used to singing lead

Thanks for the Worning reaction, I like them. Even more thanks for Ofra Haza, and especially for those old black and white recordings. That voice and those "smiling" eyes ....
Instead, I recommend another Jewish woman who was also born outside Israel. Ofra was from Yemen and Maureen Nehedar is from Iran. I also recommend Georgians and two Assyrians (Sarah Ego (Eliyo) and Diana Yerlikaya) to react.

I’ve just viewed a couple of your personal performances which led me to watching this particular reaction. Firstly, I love your voice. WOW. Next, I commend you on your music knowledge & your reaction style, & thus, I have subscribed to your Chanel.
This video isn’t really my music genre, but I found it most entertaining. May I introduce an artist who won Holland’s Got Talent at the age of nine without even a single singing lesson. Her name is Amira Willighagen & her music genre is Opera. I’ll cut this as short as I can by saying this young lady ( now 17 ) has taken the world by storm, in a similar way to Angelina Jordan. Please give her at least one reaction & then take it from there. My suggestion is:
Amira Willighagen singing O Mio Babbino Caro . Please select the performance is with the world renown conductor/musician Andre Rieu

Oops, I hadn’t finished. This performance was to an audience of 15,000 people who stood as one to give Amira a standing ovation. This was just after her talent show win & was still 9 in this performance.
Sorry to be so long winded & sincerely hope you find the time to do at least this reaction
    Cheers, Graeme.

Ale being the youngest, she was always shy and a little late to start singing lead. She is definitely breaking out into her own person.

These young ladies kind of spoil us with how talented they actually are. Yes their parents put them in piano at a young age BUT it was the girls who wanted and continue to want to play. Their dad simply asked after seeing how much they enjoyed playing Rockband if theyd like to play "real" instruments which they jumped at. They have a true and loving feeling for music and genuinely love performing for us TWA and other new fans. So much so that the other day Dany went on Lens and showed herself crying because they had to postpone their tour again because of covid. So for some may seem "gimmicky" but once you get to see them and know them you know they just love to play. It is a nice surprise to have Ale sing lead now and then BUT I personally prefer her just stalking the stage the way she does while playing and having a blast. thanks and happy new year and cioa for now

    Lyrics
Tell me, what I must do to atone
For what I did to your soul
Tell me to step over fire
    What is your desire?
    'Cause it is done
One word and it'll be done
    The game you already won
Invisible I am bleeding, I'm pleading
    Listen to me
I know that it was just a mistake
    But you don't forgive
    And you don't forget
    Yeah, you don't forgive
To tell you to tell me
To tell you that it's alright
When we take another step closer to our demise
To tell you to tell me
To tell you that it's alright
    But we know it ain't
    'Cause red hands never fade
    Whoa oh oh oh whoa
    Whoa oh oh oh whoa
    Whoa oh oh oh whoa
    Whoa oh oh
Tell me, when did you get to decide?
Was it a matter of pride?
If it's the price of betraying
    What is it I'm paying?
    It's overdue
    Your reason is overdue
C'mon I just want the truth
Do I resemble the rage and the chains
    That tied you down?
I know that it was just a mistake
    But you don't forgive
    And you don't forget
    Yeah, you don't forgive
To tell you to tell me
To tell you that it's alright
When we take another step closer to our demise
To tell you to tell me
To tell you that it's alright
    But we know it ain't
    'Cause red hands never fade
    Whoa oh oh oh whoa
    Whoa oh oh oh whoa
    Whoa oh oh oh whoa
    Whoa oh oh oh
    Whoa oh oh oh whoa
    Whoa oh oh oh whoa
    Whoa oh oh oh whoa
    Whoa oh oh oh
To tell you to tell me
To tell you that it's alright
When we take another step closer to our demise
To tell you to tell me
To tell you that it's alright
    But we know it ain't
    'Cause red hands never fade
    Whoa oh oh oh whoa
    Whoa oh oh oh whoa
    Whoa oh oh oh whoa

The Warning remind me of the Red Hot Chili Peppers in the way that the songs have a lot of lyrics, full of meaning, changing up the words.

I have watched a bit of their footage before commenting, I didn't really know their work before. I mainly liked what I saw but it wasn't the most mind-blowing music I have heard so far. They simply didn't reinvent the wheel, which is not necessarily bad, if the music is performed in an entertaining and honest way. And, no doubt, they are fun to watch. Also they are pretty young, so there is time for improvement. It will be interesting to see what happens to them in the next five to ten years.
I can imagine for people way younger than me it is easier to connect to them than to a bunch of old or even dead people from the past. If I was a dad and my kids would listen to them, I would really be happy.
Are they worth the hype? Only time can tell.
    -----
    On a more general note.
What I really like is that they are an all-female band. Why? Well, name 10 successful all-female (or at least mainly female) bands from the entire history of Rock. See, it gets hard.
In particular when it comes to instrumentalists people often do not consider females, they are usually "just" the singer. And that's a problem in virtually any genre from Jazz to Metal and even in Classics.
How many people know Nita Strauss, Samantha Fish and Yvette Young (guitar)? How many people know Tal Wilkenfeld and Esperanza Spalding (bass)? Or Terry Lyne Carrington and Cindy Blackman (drums)? And even with people like Joni Mitchell it's still a problem, people think of her as a great songwriter, as a good singer, but who is thinking of her as a great guitar player?
And these are the ones that at least do get some attention. They might even appear on top-lists. But in general they remain pretty much unrecognized. And even when it comes to vocals there are these few outstanding examples like Ella Fitzgerald or Aretha Franklin that are highly praised (for a good reason) but overall the top-lists are pretty male.
Sure, social media change things but it's more like a shift than a real change. How many people outside of TH-cam-land know our very own guitar queen Mary Spender (she is British, so she is the Queen)? Is she the best guitar player ever? No, but her style is fantastic and as an overall package (guitar playing, singing, songwriting and, yes, visually) she is just simply amazing.
So, even if these girls are hyped, and in the long run not that stable, it's important that they are there. And it's also important that there are more bands and solo artists like this to come. So, if you feel adventurous go check out the girls mentioned in this comment, or search for Kinga Głyk, Hannah Wicklund (& the Steppin Stones), Emily Wolfe, the Lovell girls and Lakin Poe, Molly Miller,... they are all on TH-cam and Spotify and Instagram and so on.
(DISCLAIMER: Pulled these names really randomly out of my head, so they might not be the best examples but should be sufficient to illustrate the problem. If your favorite artist does not appear, it doesn't mean that they shouldn't appear. Also if you do not agree on the skills of the ladies mentioned feel free to do so in silence, I don't give a flying rats.... it also doesn't change the overall problem.)

Ale doesn't like to sing lead. Her potential is untapped as a vocalist. She sings like she wants to get the song over with without incident. She can sing if she ever gets the confidence. This still sounds good but not ales full potential
