Personally, the veils only on 2 hairs and not listed as hats bother me. Correct me if I'm wrong, but most if not all hairs allow you to wear hat with them and adjust them to fit under them, so its annoying they didn't do with the veils. Imagine your sim has textured hair most of the time but you want her to wear the veil on the straight hair style? I understand it could maybe be more difficult than a baseball cap to edit but it'd be worth I think.
As a hair cc maker I can comment on this: Sims 4 allows hairs to be worn with hats by having three hair meshes, two known as 'hat chops': hat chops have the top portion of the mesh removed and the edges of the mesh drawn in so that the hat covers it up and looks like....well, how it looks when you wear a hat in real life. It would have been extremely difficult to have the veils work for every hair. THAT SAID, cc creators make veils that can be used on most hairs by not using those hat chops, so the game continues to use the full hair mesh. It causes some clipping, but it usually works OK. the sims team isn't allowed to use some of the methods that cc creators use, I believe, because they can result in clipping/unprofessional results if the player doesn't make an effort to make things match up.
@@vhs3760 It's pretty ironic that they aren't allowed to do that because it can result in unprofessional looking results considering the current state of this pack and honestly the state of the game in general lmfao. /lh
i think it’s unfair that veils aren’t available on short hair or afro textured hair. would it have been *that* hard to do at least one simple classic veil that’s separate and works like a hat? CC creators have made them for years!
The only right decision. I‘m also baffled how many people bought the pack on release day, after seeing how bugged it was. I mean, the game changer videos where the worst advertisement ever. And I think since the pack is really micro-managie you can get the same result with the in game wedding feature. Same for the parties, tbh.
For the first time since the first kits came out, I'm just not buying this 😔 it just looks like so much more frustration than it's worth, and given the nature of the bugs, I don't see them fixing it entirely so I'm actually perfectly happy with base game weddings
If it ever gets fixed, I will probably get the pack on sale because I love having new lots and build items, but I'm not holding my breath that that will happen anytime soon. EA still hasn't been able to fix Dine Out and that's been broken since FOREVER.
The banquet table was the only item that made Luxury Party Stuff worth having. I really hope they do a pack refresh on that and a few of the other underwhelming stuff packs.
Luxury part stuff sucks. I used to love it when it came out, that was the time when I owned all the packs because there wasn’t many of them. But now there’s tons of packs you look back and realise it sucks. I only liked it because I was a little kid and didn’t have any sense of design. I put those glowing cubes as bedside tables for my sims and I thought that looked cool. But I haven’t used any of the items, except like the banquet table, in years.
What disappointed me was that a lot of the things they incorporated were pretty much recycled. In certain items they did a lot of amazing additions but heavy reliance on other released packs was pretty disappointing
Another missed opportunity, having a florist career, that way you can make the bouquets to sell in the cart--or make for the wedding planner or wedding caterer. There are three careers they could have added to the game.
In seasons there’s a florist career and a flower arrangement table so you can make your own. It’s already been confirmed that you can use these custom flower arrangements for your weddings
I had to reset my sims several times before they could walk down the aisle. And yes, the guests sat down, but they wouldn’t stand up again. Not until I reset them.
They’ve been doing aspirations that walk you through pack play which hasn’t felt like a real aspiration, but people actually aspire to plan the perfect wedding and an aspiration that had you fall in love, do all the events and interactions, and earn some romantic bonus trait would be so fitting and useful.
I tried to gather the guest for the cake cutting and the bride took the cake and washed it away in the bathroom sink!!! Generally almost nothing worked on the event!! Hopefully it's getting fixed soon
Wedding cakes go bad basically immediately for some reason. Honestly baked goods go bad fast in the Sims 4 but the wedding cakes are just like legit bugged to light speed spoilage...
They already released a "fix" patch that almost did nothing. Dine Out is still broken 6 years on as a reminder. This pack is not going to get fixed anytime soon, I'm sorry to say.
I'm really glad they included the tea sets, serving tea to your parents and grandparents is considered part of the wedding day festivities in east Asian weddings!
Being subbed to Kayla and Jesse is fun. You get "Look at all the fun stuff in My Wedding Stories!" And then immediately after "My Wedding Stories is BROKE" No hate to Kayla at all Iove her, she just definitely likes to look on the positive side. It's good to have both perspectives.
same! i definitely like hearing Jesse explain the negative parts of it, but i also love hearing kayla gush about the good stuff as well, cuz sometimes you wanna try and forget the negatives
THIS. It was the one thing I wanted. Some form of kilt. Even if it wasn’t perfect. And just general representation for a bunch of different cultures in general.
If you are playing on PC, there is a wedding themed Custom Content collab one part of which includes a kilt. The collab is called Till Death Do Us Part. The creator is ice-creamforbreakfast. It's from August, so you'll have to scroll a bit.
My guess (although I still think they should’ve added the kilt) is that they wanted to go full in on the cultures they chose. They made various outfits and lots and items and swatches for the 3 they picked, so I think they weren’t able to do that for even more cultures
OH AS A SCOTTISH PERSON I TOTALLY AGREE! Tbh I totally forgot that kilts were a thing people wore at weddings ahaha. But in order to accurately do that they’d also need to create a shirt & blazer with the purple flower thingie (I have no clue what it’s called) & they’d have to do the socks as well because those three things always go together at formal events ahaha. I think that would’ve been super cool tbh but I don’t know if they would’ve been willing to do the whole set
Here to say that my sim's wedding was actually going pretty well until BOTH her grandparents decided to drop dead of old age roughly two minutes apart from each other. I've caught the lilsimsie curse...
The Sims team need to come out with a kit that's just men's clothing, hair, and accessories. The amount of times that my male sims are repeating in clothing is sad after this game has been out since 2014.
A kit with actual male clothes that most guys actually wear. They did that menswear one but it was all weird high fashion stuff. I just want fashionable but normal clothes for my male sims. The clothes in the game currently make all the men look like Pixar characters.
Ngl most men don’t wear very creative clothing. I think the best way to go about it is making clothes that suits every frame and going down a clothes are for everyone design will give all sims more creativity in their clothing. We need more graphic tops for men and women, baggy skater vibe clothes!!!
I am so disappointed that they don’t have doors, curtains and arches for small wall size. They offer three size walls, they need to have build mode for all three sizes
That moment when ea makes you pay to have a more buggy wedding than the base game could offer. I was so excited for this pack, but I think i would just be spending money to get a headache trying to get it to work at this point. I hope they patch it more within a week or two because you still can't have a successful wedding with it.
Same!! I was so excited when they revealed this pack, but I’m waiting until it’s fixed before I get it. I have too much stress in my life, I don’t need more
If I could disable all gameplay aspects to weddings and just use the world and build mode items I would probably have a good time. But that’s still a waste of money. I’m giving it a week or two and seeing what they patch 🤞🤞 hopefully they fix some more issues soon!
Kayla’s thoughts are ones I trust most because she gives everything a fair try and does not complain about every single thing, as this community is very prone to do. She gives a little grace without excusing things. I like good balanced with bad. What works with what doesnt. She is the only Simmer who I still watch pretty much daily.
Yes! It also looks similar to what’s worn in many Indian weddings (the make is escaping me) so double fun! I’m really glad they’ve been adding more hijabs to the game although more variants to the actual mesh would be great too! Head covering is common in SO MANY cultures too so it would make a lot of people happy (certain Catholics, certain sects of Judaism, a lot of Islam, certain Eastern religions, etc). I do wish they’d add more representation into the base game though. You shouldn’t have to pay to represent your culture :(
The idea of traditional weddings really is very nice. It is bad that it’s not in the base game, but it is good that it is at least in the pack. I know how much traditions and culture mean to people and it is so important that everybody can show their culture in the game! Happy gaming with the new pack besties!
I would love to see a lilsimsie renovation challenge where she starts with an old rundown cluttered and dusty church and turns it into a home! Super open concept and uses the balcony as a loft bedroom? Would be a unique idea since that’s a hot thing to renovate nowadays!
personally I would prefer wedding dresses that look like wedding dresses and not just formal dresses with the color white. I think the classic styles were missing, like a princess dress or a mermaid dress, like those we can get with custom content.
No, corsages are worn by women on either the wrist or left lapel area. Boutonnieres are worn by men on the left lapel. It's the gender of the wearer that makes the difference in what it's called.
This may be a regional thing. I was taught that women wear their boutonniere blossoms-up and stems-down while men wear theirs blossoms-down and stems-up. That said, there's no tradition of corsages here so it might just be a case of people wanting things to be gendered
We should start a petition to boycott Wedding Stories until it's actually fixed. Like, if this was a mod, you wouldn't even download it because it's so broken. Spending money on this pack is telling EA that their behavior is ok with the consumers and encourages them to keep putting our mediocre content in pretty wrappings
Oh gosh I hadn't thought of it like this before. If this was a mod, I'd have gone to the comments and reported bugs already and the creator would either fix them one by one or abandon the mod entirely 😅 if a mod's broke, we don't use it, but if a pack's broke.. it's still sold for money
Sorry, I really want to buy it. Even if the weddings are still a buggy mess right now, I want to buy the pack and use it the build and also visit Tartosa.
The beaded ballgown dress is almost exactly like my actual wedding dress which was super exciting. I bought this pack yesterday, threw a whole wedding, and loved every moment of it. It's still pretty broken, but still worth it
I want this pack so bad (mostly for the world tbh), but all I keep seeing is how buggy it is right now. Hopefully it gets fixed soon with another update. 😭
"Male Sims got more clothing than usual, still not as much as female Sims." Maybe in the Sims 5 EA will actually care about male and masculine customisation options. Figured we'd finally get *something* from a pack like this, but I forgot men only wear one kind of suit in three colours and all possible fashion opportunities are non-existent.
Why give them money for 5 when they are underperforming in 4. Hint, if they are fine with putting out buggy garbage now why would they suddenly gain work ethic because there's a 5 after the word Sims?
@@rachray83 Believe it or not, Sims 5 will be less messy. Sims 4's specific problems have less to do with work ethic and more to do with the origins of the game - I'm sure we all know about project Olympus so I won't describe too much, just look up info if you don't know - but basically they intended to make an online game and quickly swiveled to make an offline one. When you have a whole engine set up for one game type and suddenly change the entire genre, it's sure to cause a mess. NOT ONLY THAT - but most of the original developers of Sims 4 have already left, they have a whole new crew of developers and most of them aren't familiar with how the code works, and almost every year a new developer comes in with no idea of what the previous year's devs were doing. Basically every new developer is blindly adding on to a code they're not familiar with, it's obviously going to break and become worse. Finally, another big issue is that Sims 4 originally had 32 bit system support, which is at the time of release, 64 bit systems were already common, but EA still wanted as many sales as possible, so they were intentionally hindering the game's functionality since the beginning. Now, are any of the problems excused? No, of course they aren't! It is definitely EA's fault for trying to make an always online Sims game, and it is definitely EA's fault for driving all of their best developers away; however, to expect The Sims 4 to be playable is unrealistic. We knew it was gonna be bad seeing how SimCity 2015 failed. But it still stands as unrefutable fact that Sims 5 will be at least somewhat more stable. Since they're starting with a brand new engine, they don't have to worry about what messes other developers left behind. Hopefully no one gets fired or quits at least for the first few expansion packs because as I said, when they rotate developers, new developers won't have any idea how to use the old code. On a side note, one could argue that EA could fix Sims 4 if they restarted with a new engine and remade every single function in the base game and every pack from scratch (a Sims 4.5 if you will) and release it for free for anyone who bought Sims 4. That would actually be a lot easier of a fix than having the new developers trying to deconstruct decade old spaghetti code. However it would take years and while EA does obviously have the funding to do so - and we probably should be expecting them to - we have to be honest with ourselves and accept it won't happen. The only realistic hope is a new generation with a fresh engine made by developers that will hopefully stay for the whole run.
@@keiromultiverse3608 I didn’t want sims 5 to come out because I didn’t want to have to move to a new game with no packs that feels really empty like sims 4 when it released but honestly, now, I really want sims 5 to come out. The sooner it comes out, the sooner they can start releasing packs and stuff for it and it can become more playable. Does anyone know if they’re already working on it and when people are estimating the release?
@@rachelcookie321 There's no telling. It's weird how long Sims 4 has already been supported. Sims 2 came 4 years after Sims 1; Sims 3 came 5 years after Sims 2; Sims 4 came 5 years after Sims 3. It's almost 8 years and they haven't even hinted that they were working on Sims 5 at all. That's all I'll say, just try to keep hopeful.
LOL Simsie saying: "I'm so grateful, gonna use this a lot" Simsie in build mode: "I don't know what to use, there is nothing" proceeds to use all the same stuff she uses constantly! (no offence, had to lol)
I got the pack today for the world, the Cas and build buy. I dont even expect them to ever fix the gameplay. I'm 95% sure they'll just ignore it. Kinda sad tbh but hey... at least a nice world Cas and build buy came with it
@@duckyasmr3648 Try disabling the pack in Origin (if you have PC). I heard there's supposed to be a mod to fix issues as well, but I'm not sure. If you don't have a PC, then idk what to do, but I'm sorry to hear your game is bugged.
My theory with hat being attached to the outfit: maybe that way the can avoid sims getting those hats when they randomized their outfits and that way you won’t have a random sim wearing flip flops, the eye ring and the fancy hat all at the same time
I love how they included the tea sets because asian communities are known to have tea ceremonies to respect our elders during weddings and I LOVE IT!!!
I think it will be interesting to see how many updates they need to do to fix the bugs. I already had to restart my sims game 3 different times today unfortunately
Same! My game has been “not responding” after a few minutes of playing (or no minutes if you go into build mode) for the past 3 days. It’s absurd. The only thing that helped some was updating my computer. My origin was also completely logged out again even though I always tell it to remember me? Seems to happen every time there’s a Sims Issue ™️
@@StarlightEdith Yeah if I went into build mode everything stopped working and I had to force shut down. I also updated everything, computer, game, files. Seems the big wave of bug fixes they've had to do meant everything was down. Hopefully works now/soon
@@laurengallagher2076 I’ve had the same exact issue! I was terrified my computer was finally too old to run the game decently… glad it wasn’t on my end (the computer isn’t even that old. Probably about 3-5 years)
Im not a huge fan of this pack, but when you showed the debug chairs sims can't sit in it reminded me of how people will leave empty chairs for loved ones who passed. I feel like it'd be cute to do that for a sims ceremony, given the dead relative's ghost doesn't show up lmfao
Yeah but like... it shouldn't need a mod to be fixed... that shows EA isnt doing ther ejob completely correctly and will probably think they can get away with this mor eand still have their game sold
Yeah but like... it shouldn't need a mod to be fixed... that shows EA isnt doing their job completely correctly and will probably think they can get away with this more and still have their game sold
@@Simlissify oh yeah 100%. i don’t understand how modders can fix bugs in like a week and the entire team at EA cant do it at all, it’s insane. plus the console players can’t use mods.
Honestly I’m sold based on the build mode, the world and the cas. I’m not even super bothered if the gameplay is a little buggy. But like.. I’m excited. That tea set thing?! I can just imagine the welcome wagon arriving and I invite them in and make tea on the coffee table and sit and talk. Ah I love it (yes I am British lol but I actually don’t like tea irl). Kinda feels like it would’ve made more sense in cottage living but hey ho, I’m not complaining :)
If Dine Out serves as a testament to how EA handles their bugs, be prepared for this to be the final version of the pack. "Transparency" my butt. They hid the patch notes so we couldn't see that nothing was fixed. I'm glad there are YTbers to show us what the packs are really like so we dont waste our money on hot mess 💚
A reason maybe some of the head coverings are attached to the outfits is so that townie sims don't randomly wear some ornate headcover with a tshirt and jeans. Just to take it out of the random clothing generator. The team may have realized townies look crazy when you have all the packs, lol.
The pergola type thing with the curtain on it is the closest we’ve got to a chuppah (thing you stand under at Jewish weddings) so I would definitely use that if I had the pack!
I LOVE how much attention they paid towards making more cultured items so that way everyone of all different cultures can wear their traditional wedding pieces
It is truly appalling to me that EA not only dropped a lackluster, bare minimum pack, but that they didn't even have the decency to delay the pack release to fix the bugs to make the game playable. Please stop buying from EA, they do not deserve your money when they're giving you crap products that don't even work.
@@ericaclune4313 It is bare minimum when you think about the content. Why do people want to pay 20$ for a literal wedding? Where's the attraction system? Complex dating? Literally anything besides just the wedding would have made this pack not bare minimum. And the fact that a 9 lot world is considered "huge" in comparison with previous games EA has put out is sad. They had the opportunity to make another few careers, even, and didn't. That's what makes this pack so bare minimum. Just because the stuff is pretty doesn't make the content any less sad.
I really like that they included wedding attire from other cultures(besides the West)❤️❤️ Very amazing to see the Sims 4 team making inclusive and beautiful content.
All the CAS assets are so stunning I just wish they had added some henna designs for the hands I know it's probably really difficult to make but it's such a big part of the wedding traditions in so many cultures
I'm watching this out of the corner of my eye while I'm at work and, hand to God, when you were talking about the floral cart, I thought you said "You could buy an organ" and I was immediately confused about what direction the sims was going 😂
My first wedding was SO glitchy. I could barely get the vows to work, they wouldn’t walk down the aisle, the guests didn’t eat, the bouquet toss didn’t happen… the bride literally stood there until she passed out. It was in a venue I made myself, so I’m going to try the one that came with the game to see if it goes any better. So far, though… it’s really bad.
I would've loved a 'wedding singer' career ehehehe but what can ya do DIY wedding planner: Can you get a sim who isn't one of the spouses to try the cakes and organise for them? cuz then you could have a sim that just joins households and organises everything for them :3
I noticed with the new wallpaper that they don't have a matching one without the boarder at the bottom so if you build a two story house you have to deal with that white line and not a full nice faded look that would have been a grate touch.
i had to reset my sims SO many times. it was still really buggy unfortunately, and that was when all the sims attending were also in the household i was playing in. i can't even imagine how messy it is with sims outside of your household. although, i will say that whenever i didn't need to reset my sims, it was really nice to have a proper wedding and i enjoyed all the activites. i just wish it would work smoothly.
My bride's father, also the officiant, started having sex with his wife instead of officiating the wedding... which never happened by the way, it was complete chaos.
I love the piano, but I’d love to see more upright versions. It’s really REALLY hard to fit a grand piano into most builds and I haven’t been interested in the packs that have uprights. I definitely would have been more interested in buying this pack if they had an upright option too.
Soooo many glitches and bugs!!! I could not even get my Sim to walk down the isle and stay there. Also, all my guests were just standing in the isle :( So MANY BUGS!!!
i feel that the ball light would work good for a modern community lot, like an art exhibit? used as outdoor lighting like mixed in amongst the bushes and flowers by the paths yknow?
Apparently their dev team this time around was super different in terms of composition. Compared to the previous packs (e.g., Parenthood) which had around 25% QA people, for this pack it was only 6%. Also, they tripled the staff for art/design this time around. That's why visually everything is stunning, but the gameplay is broken. They sacrificed functioning for looks.
Ditto - in fact I was only buying it for the world, and have been pleasantly surprised with build buy! Love the pews - in the UK they are so common in houses due to churches getting decommissioned (almost certainly not the correct terminology). And the tea set ♡♡♡♡
8:20 Wait... Perhaps because the hats are tied a cultural thing. You don't want a random townie or people online accidentally doing cultural appropriation or misuse. So to prevent that they make it completely part of the outfit. Also I may just wait til the game goes on sale when its 'old' enough.
I agree with you. I think the reason why they aren't classed as hats, is cause they are tied to the cultural wedding. It would be weird having a townie walking around with it 😂😂
i feel like i've definitely seen pictures of gardens with some kind of huge lantern looking like spheres (or balls) all around them. having lights and lanterns all around the garden or at least space for evening events is very popular i think you see it everywhere. and the round shape is very popular too in the garden i think, my parents have like one of those mini fountains which is like three differently sized balls that spit water so i dont think balls as lanterns is far off that idea it's not the most out there in the pack - or the sims
I think a lot of stuff from seasons could be matched with that warm brown wood on the chairs. I am actually so happy they added somethink in this shade cause I use it all the time😅also the pastel blue will be so cute
I expected the pack to still be buggy but I really wonder how broken it was before the patch because it's sill so so broken. It's a wedding pack and it took me 8 hours to get my sims to exchange vows. And that's the only thing they managed to do. Their guests gathered at the wrong isle, only one sim managed to walk down it, couldn't get a sim to officiate, couldn't get them to sit, couldn't get them to cut the cake or toss the bouquet, i just called it a day once they finally managed to exchange their vows. Don't get me wrong, the world is beautiful, and the build and cas items really nice, but for a gamepack the gameplay should be the key. As someone who bought it, I wouldn't recommend it till it's fixed. To put it in context, this pack makes me congratulate dine out on no longer being the most broken pack.
Without using this pack, I used the 'At Last' music, and the slow dance mod, at a Sims' wedding I styled to look like the wedding me and my fiance are going to have in September. The music and the dance was all I needed to get the desired effect. THAT'S what makes this 'work' It's not the packs, it's our imagination coupled with our emotions. My guests were a little late to the ceremony, but, amazingly, they reacted appropriately, crying and clapping. Seriously, PLAY THIS SONG at your Sims' weddings when you get them married, and save money on the pack; the music and slow dance mod will be all you need (apart from the cake, obviously ;-).
Honestly, I was so excited to buy this pack, but after Plumbella’s video, I’m sad I won’t be adding it to my game. Not paying 20 bucks for how glitchy it is. BUT… I love watching you play it :) enjoy weddings through you
Is it just me or does this pack just seem very rushed. There's so many missed opportunities such as a wedding planner career or a florist career and a bakery maybe? Its just such a shame, this pack had so much potential, and still does! I really hope they do fix it as it could've been such an amazing pack. Also I really would of loved it if they had made it so you could buy your wedding dress... I just feel its more realistic. I really love the story telling you can do in this game and I really think it would be amazing for a sim to be able to save up to have the perfect dress making it more meaningful as they had to work so hard for something that in real life for most people is the most important and sentimental piece of clothing. OMG it would be so cute if you could have the bride hand down their wedding dress to their daughters! I don't know just a thought. Also having a bridal party and go wedding dress shopping! I don't I just think I'm really sentimental lol and getting too excited over my own ideas. There are just so many little details that could of been added to make the game more personal and relatable which makes me feel sad. Anyway I'm rambling, I could say a lot more about this pack, these are just some of my thoughts, and I'm sure I am not alone. I don't know though. I hope you have it working soon EA
Definitely needs more veil options. Also, they need a broom to jump over and a chuppah. I am hoping that in a month or two, that the pack will be fixed. I was really looking forward to this.
I can 100% see myself making a Disenchantment save file or at least a few builds & using this pack a lot. I spend most of my time in CAS & build mode anyway & I tend to rush through gameplay so the bugginess doesn’t bother me THAT a much (albeit, it still does bug me). I’ll probably get this once I’m finished one of my big assignments
idea: please please please make a lighthouse house, so like a house that looks like a lighthouse, or like make a house and cover it with the debug lighthouse, like pleaseeeeeeeee lilsimsie that would literally be amazing!!!!
i’m not really sure how this classifies as a game pack other than having a new world?? tiny living has more gameplay aspects lmao. especially when you compare this to dream home decorator gameplay 🥴
Would be fun to mix this gameplay with previous gameplay that came with Get to work and seasons, for instance making your own floral arrangements, selling wedding dresses and cakes, getting married in winter, all that😍
Did Kayla say she saw the patch notes? Were game changers allowed to see the patch notes, but they weren't released to the public? Everything I've seen online said that patch notes would not be released.
As pretty as it is, if you know anything about grand pianos, you know that the purpose of the “lid” is to control the volume of the sound that comes out of the piano (to increase or decrease the dynamic which you already play at). All grand pianos have these stick things (lid props) that can raise or lower the lid. A fancy lacy lid completely ruins the point of it’s function. Yeah I know it’s a sims game, but I had to geek out for a moment 😍
The hair always brakes immersion for me it's like toy that isn't made to be customized
They could at least have a version of a textured hair with veil if it's not possible as an accessory
I don't get why they didn't do a western style dress with an attached veil like the Indian dress. It was clearly possible

What disappointed me was that a lot of the things they incorporated were pretty much recycled. In certain items they did a lot of amazing additions but heavy reliance on other released packs was pretty disappointing
luxury party can’t stand with cas alone… the cas isn’t bad… AT ALL. but for a builder, it’s horrible.
Another missed opportunity, having a florist career, that way you can make the bouquets to sell in the cart--or make for the wedding planner or wedding caterer. There are three careers they could have added to the game.
The florist career came with seasons, of course it wasn't active but they can't repeat themselves too much.
In seasons there’s a florist career and a flower arrangement table so you can make your own. It’s already been confirmed that you can use these custom flower arrangements for your weddings
wedding planner career and freelance caterer/ cake baker should've been a career. They dropped the ball on that
I thought they add Wedding Planer same as Dream Home Decorator??
@@jolakristin281 they didn't add any new careers
I had to reset my sims several times before they could walk down the aisle. And yes, the guests sat down, but they wouldn’t stand up again. Not until I reset them.

@@jesussavedme6260 Stop it already
Yeesh, can EA make anything right?
Same for me, nothing worked
They already released a "fix" patch that almost did nothing. Dine Out is still broken 6 years on as a reminder. This pack is not going to get fixed anytime soon, I'm sorry to say.
dine out 2: electric boogaloo
The whole cake down the sink 😭😭
I'm really glad they included the tea sets, serving tea to your parents and grandparents is considered part of the wedding day festivities in east Asian weddings!
Being subbed to Kayla and Jesse is fun. You get "Look at all the fun stuff in My Wedding Stories!" And then immediately after "My Wedding Stories is BROKE"
No hate to Kayla at all Iove her, she just definitely likes to look on the positive side. It's good to have both perspectives.
I appreciate the variety in views the game ch-- creators give us too 😊 it's good to listen to multiple opinions!
Who is Jesse?
@@hustlinhitch their channel is called plumbella, they're friends with kayla
same! i definitely like hearing Jesse explain the negative parts of it, but i also love hearing kayla gush about the good stuff as well, cuz sometimes you wanna try and forget the negatives
Same. I love watching them back to back and going from, Kayla’s “oh pretty!” To Jesse’s “this is a hot mess”.
I will never understand why they didn't add a kilt to a wedding pack that seems like a no brainer.
THIS. It was the one thing I wanted. Some form of kilt. Even if it wasn’t perfect. And just general representation for a bunch of different cultures in general.
That would be awesome
@@zoebenefer6149 I agree, I'd rather they fix how clothes look on opposite frames than shill more half-baked packs
This was legit my first pack when I was 100% sure I want it. Guess I´ll have to wait for them to fix it cause I ain´t spending money on a broken pack.
Just did my first wedding…it’s definitely still broken. Everything that could have gone wrong did
Its so disappointing, better for EA to not even release it then to give people a broken pack. They know that even when its broken people will buy it.
02:30 didn't know they added a wedding hijab. As a Muslim this makes me want to buy it even if I don't really do weddings in my game
You shouldn’t have to pay to represent your culture :(
Yeah but there are too limited clothings especially tops to go with the hijabs 😞
The idea of traditional weddings really is very nice. It is bad that it’s not in the base game, but it is good that it is at least in the pack. I know how much traditions and culture mean to people and it is so important that everybody can show their culture in the game! Happy gaming with the new pack besties!
So many more cultures could have been represented too!
People shouldn't have to buy representation though
I would love to see a lilsimsie renovation challenge where she starts with an old rundown cluttered and dusty church and turns it into a home! Super open concept and uses the balcony as a loft bedroom? Would be a unique idea since that’s a hot thing to renovate nowadays!
"It might be buggy, but the stuff's cool right" NO. All we get is stuff, i want quality and gameplay.
THIS
personally I would prefer wedding dresses that look like wedding dresses and not just formal dresses with the color white. I think the classic styles were missing, like a princess dress or a mermaid dress, like those we can get with custom content.
I do wish the toddler clothes came for children as well, honestly :( It's a shame you can't make siblings match!
It really speaks to the standards we have for the sims 4 when it’s “impressive” they actually added new rings to a wedding themed pack.
When the flower is on the wrist it’s a corsage and when it’s on the chest it’s a boutonnière
We should start a petition to boycott Wedding
Stories until it's actually fixed. Like, if this was a
mod, you wouldn't even download it because it's so broken. Spending money on this pack is telling EA that their behavior is ok with the consumers and encourages them to keep putting our mediocre content in pretty wrappings
completely agree
Oh gosh I hadn't thought of it like this before. If this was a mod, I'd have gone to the comments and reported bugs already and the creator would either fix them one by one or abandon the mod entirely 😅 if a mod's broke, we don't use it, but if a pack's broke.. it's still sold for money
I totally agree
Sorry, I really want to buy it. Even if the weddings are still a buggy mess right now, I want to buy the pack and use it the build and also visit Tartosa.
Also I don’t think it’s fair on the game developers having to push out a pack that’s incomplete
Same the world is so pretty but i also wanna Go Dine Out but its so broken
"Male Sims got more clothing than usual, still not as much as female Sims."
Maybe in the Sims 5 EA will actually care about male and masculine customisation options.
@@rachray83
Believe it or not, Sims 5 will be less messy.
There's no telling. It's weird how long Sims 4 has already been supported. Sims 2 came 4 years after Sims 1; Sims 3 came 5 years after Sims 2; Sims 4 came 5 years after Sims 3. I love how they included the tea sets because asian communities are known to have tea ceremonies to respect our elders during weddings and I LOVE IT!!!
I think it will be interesting to see how many updates they need to do to fix the bugs. I already had to restart my sims game 3 different times today unfortunately

A reason maybe some of the head coverings are attached to the outfits is so that townie sims don't randomly wear some ornate headcover with a tshirt and jeans. Just to take it out of the random clothing generator. The team may have realized townies look crazy when you have all the packs, lol.
I still rather it be separate lol
The pergola type thing with the curtain on it is the closest we’ve got to a chuppah (thing you stand under at Jewish weddings) so I would definitely use that if I had the pack!

I wouldn't call the pack bare minimum. The stuff is beautiful and the world is huge and absolutely gorgeous. Multiple places to swim and walk around.
@@ericaclune4313 It is bare minimum when you think about the content. Why do people want to pay 20$ for a literal wedding? Where's the attraction system? Complex dating? I noticed with the new wallpaper that they don't have a matching one without the boarder at the bottom so if you build a two story house you have to deal with that white line and not a full nice faded look that would have been a grate touch.
i had to reset my sims SO many times. it was still really buggy unfortunately, and that was when all the sims attending were also in the household i was playing in. i can't even imagine how messy it is with sims outside of your household. although, i will say that whenever i didn't need to reset my sims, it was really nice to have a proper wedding and i enjoyed all the activites. i just wish it would work smoothly.

I love the piano, but I’d love to see more upright versions. It’s really REALLY hard to fit a grand piano into most builds and I haven’t been interested in the packs that have uprights. I definitely would have been more interested in buying this pack if they had an upright option too.

i feel that the ball light would work good for a modern community lot, like an art exhibit? used as outdoor lighting like mixed in amongst the bushes and flowers by the paths yknow?
Apparently their dev team this time around was super different in terms of composition. Compared to the previous packs (e.g., Parenthood) which had around 25% QA people, for this pack it was only 6%. Also, they tripled the staff for art/design this time around. That's why visually everything is stunning, but the gameplay is broken. They sacrificed functioning for looks.
They should have learned better after dine out
You should try making a wedding venue with all of the rainbow items from the pack lol

Honestly, I'm just buying this pack for the world and build/buy stuff c:
Ditto - in fact I was only buying it for the world, and have been pleasantly surprised with build buy! Love the pews - in the UK they are so common in houses due to churches getting decommissioned (almost certainly not the correct terminology). And the tea set ♡♡♡♡
I absolutely love the tea set, I'm adding it to my cottage home in Henford-on-bagley ♡♡
i LOVE they added outfits for other cultures! great addition to the game, im so excited!
Im gonna have to get this for the damn lehenga choli and those curtains.
It would be weird having a townie walking around with it 😂😂
I’m buying this pack ONLY for the tea sets because those are amazing!
i feel like i've definitely seen pictures of gardens with some kind of huge lantern looking like spheres (or balls) all around them. having lights and lanterns all around the garden or at least space for evening events is very popular i think you see it everywhere. and the round shape is very popular too in the garden i think, my parents have like one of those mini fountains which is like three differently sized balls that spit water so i dont think balls as lanterns is far off that idea it's not the most out there in the pack - or the sims
To put it in context, this pack makes me congratulate dine out on no longer being the most broken pack.
the problem with sims dlc is that you could easily put it into the main game but they don’t because they want money
Super nice pack! They did a good job with this one.
I m also curious about how they decide which outfits have 3D details and which don’t
I was waiting for you to post! Best part of my day
Maybe the hats are attached to the costume so that they don't randomly pop up on townies...? otherwise idk

The new dresses are everything in this pack! Bought the pack earlier but haven’t got a chance to play with it yet.
Imagine buying a Pack so broken, that your left wondering if the bugs will be fixed soon, later, or maybe never.
Saw some people complaining about the build mode but the shutter windows are enough to make me completely happy with it lollll
kayla has so much patience with EA. I could never-
I'm hoping that you will finally get your perfect legacy challenge wedding now
I hope the sims actually sit dine for once.
7:04 is giving me "Marcus Copeland wearing Latrell Spencer's suit on the beach" vibes
