Wanted to drop this info but look up the Maroons & great dismal swamp, also Gullah Geechees. US Military special forces to this day still study how black American during slavery were able to survive, form colonies in the deep swamps and use it to their advantage. btw the special force named blackwater was named after the black folks living in the swamps.

Some lessons I have learned from my stealth camping is you don't want any velcro and you don't want any clanky cookware. I do think it is funny when some people in stealth camping videos bring an axe or a hatchet. If your chopping wood, your not going to be very stealthy. Same thing with a fire, you can usually smell a campfire before you see it. Also one time I was kicking myself for bringing a cheap coleman isobutane stove that sounds like fighter jet taking off. Of course there are different types of stealth camping. So it all depends on how stealthy you are trying to be. Thanks for the video.
I just have the Coleman burner and I didn’t think it was that loud. But like you said, it depends on how stealthy you’re trying to be. But, I refuse to get one of those flimsy, titanium burners that will break when you drop it. Those Coleman burners can take a licking and keep on ticking. It’s heavier but when it’s time to cook, she got to back. 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

I really was expecting to see him snatch a 5lb. I know he said he hiked a nice distance to get there. That’s honey hole distance and he stocked it b4 the man died, I know that thing is loaded. Spinnerbait and jerk bait. I’m surprised he didn’t catch a nice one of that 🐸.

I follow several channels in both subjects, but my main thing is to makes things simple. I love new channels like yours that keep it simple and authentic. By the way in this video I learned something new, the way you collect water with the Grayl, didn't occurs to me. I don't know much about fishing, maybe you should do a video of a basic fishing set up for begginers. good luck!!!

On a side note, if you ad the zip tie and key ring to your grayl, alway be sure to inspect it every now and again because zip ties do wear out over time and it would not be good to loose you grayl cup because of a failed zip tie. @@Rob_outdoorz thanks for the advice, by the way they make metal zip ties. I have bought a few in different sizes, they might last longer, although I never has used them in sea water. I got them at Temu and Amazon.

@@Eric-69 thank you. Yeah I know there's some big ones out there ifs just a matter of figuring out where they are. Park ranger said there was a deep spot where he was catching them. I 1,000% believe him, he even said that if he saw me he would give me a ride on his ATV and we'd go fish it. It's been a few too many weeks since I did a trip like this. I do have one that I'm working on so hopefully in the next maybe 2 weeks we can do it. There will definitely be a catch and cook incorporated in that one
@@Rob_outdoorz sounds great. And ya id bet the deep part is over by the highway on the far side from when u walked in. Id also use a large spinnerbait. Spinnerbaits are great for large mouth bass. Ur camping setup was perfect. Glad i found you on youtube. Keep them coming ur channel will blow up.

Beautiful spot. Your setup was spot on with the tarp. Tying off the pole to the ridgeline was a great idea. I know that lake has some hogs in it....I could smell them. I have been fishing hard since I was 10, I am 76 now and still chasing them. I fished for bass for years but swapped over to chasing big bream, chinquapin, and white perch. I almost exclusively fish with a fly rod now and love it. I just got an E-MTB and have it decked out with bags and carry all of my camping gear on it. I have a few creeks I have fished since I was a young man. Hopefully I am headed out this week for a few days of camping, fishing, and camp cooking.Your channel came up in a recommended list. Glad I clicked the link and really enjoyed the trip. Subbed.

I almost exclusively fish with a fly rod now and love it. I just got an E-MTB and have it decked out with bags and carry all of my camping gear on it. I have a few creeks I have fished since I was a young man. Hopefully I am headed out this week for a few days of camping, fishing, and camp cooking.Your channel came up in a recommended list.
