    I had the same issue with it not being wide enough. Works fine if you undo the other footboard bolt & put it on the inside of the footboard.

      @@Blessed_be_Israel I had installed it because it was a very cool, not to put my feet on it. And anyway, they don’t reach. Oh yeah. I forgot to tell you that I own the Yamaha Raider 1900cc. You can see it on my profil

    Nice video, thanks man. The bars I bought did not come with bolts. What is the thread for the upper-right bolt?

    thanks for the video. too bad Lindby doens't make a black powdercoated bar for the C50. I think I will pay extra to get the bar with the angles, it looks much better.

    Anyone know what size the top bolts are that mount where the rubber plugs were removed? (Bought a used crash bar without hardware).

  • @msiddi01

    I picked a similar bar for my 2009 M50 from Craigslist. But it did not come with spacers or any bolts. What size bolts can I buy from a hardware store that will fit both the upper and lower mounting holes? Thnx.

    Hi Chris, Thank you for this video. Where do you buy the "spacers" ? Can I just use a couple of Stainless Steel washers as spacers?

    • @DIYwithChris
      @DIYwithChris  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      The kit came with spacers to install. Additional spacers may be purchased online just look for accessories, or call the manufacturer. I'm sure that you would also be able to find some at a local hardware store with some searching.

    I've just inherited a c50 from my uncle. I wanna put forward controls on it though because I'm 6'9" with a size 17 shoe, and with the running boards it gets kinda cramped for me. The problem is that I can't find any videos as to how to install the forward controls that I've bought.

    • @DIYwithChris
      @DIYwithChris  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Unfortunately, I do not have any available at the moment and i'm working on some other massive projects. I'll try to keep this in mind for a project to work on later.

    I'm hoping you're still responding to questions on this video. I have an 07 Suzuki C90 and I installed a multibar... it hits the ground before the floorboards do in a sharp turn. I'm wondering if you're having the same problem. (just fyi no it's got nothing to do with suspension as the suspension only controls how fast parts hit the ground not which ones hit first - ie lean angle is greater with higher ground clearance and lower with lower) thanks.

    • @DIYwithChris
      @DIYwithChris  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, I have the same problem. I can't lean into a turn as much as I used to. The first time I tried I caught the bars and nearly lost control.

    • @UnApologeticPatriot
      @UnApologeticPatriot 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DIYwithChris Thank you for the quick response and would you believe it, I talked to customer service today and they said it's the first they've ever heard of it and that it must be my suspension and ground clearance... I actually stared at the phone wondering if this guy was thinking I was actually that stupid... he was serious and wouldn't budge... just offered me a refund to which I said yes. It's a shame, they look great but they are unsafe if you want to do any type of slow speed skills riding or even if you're carving (as much as you can on a suzuki C90) up some back roads. Good luck with yours and God bless.

    I know this is an older video, but do you recall the torque limits for the upper (frame) and lower (foot peg) bolts? If not, would you happen to know where to find this info? Did you use threadlocker on either the upper or lower bolts? Red or blue?

    • @DIYwithChris
      @DIYwithChris  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't recall torque specs, and I didn't use thread locker. Still in place with no adjustments to this day.
      You should be able to find specs by contacting SALE@LINDBYCUSTOM.COM or visiting www.lindbycustom.com/product-category/engine-guard/linbar/

      @@DIYwithChris I called the Lindby Custom, but was told that they didn't know, and to follow manufacturer's torque specifications...
      I was able to find a 2005 C50/M50 Service manual online and think I've found the specs. Upper bolts w/spacers - 50 N-m (36 ft-lb) and 55 N-m (40 ft-lb) for the foot rest mounts. My M50 is a 2019, so I'm not 100% positive the ratings are correct for the 2019 model year. Does anyone have a 2019 Service Manual that could verify these torque specs?

  • @Alienated420
