- The Chevrolet Tahoe was redesigned for 2021 and was a massive improvement over its previous generation. It continues to be the SUV of choice for both families and Law Enforcement agencies as a capable vehicle. This is Maisto’s newly released replica of the new Tahoe. In this video, I unbox and review it.
I also have this model too! I bought it last month, and absolutely love it! Would love to see a 1/18 scale of this Chevrolet Tahoe from Maisto.
You and me both!
You already tried to open the rear trunk, it opens, it's just that you have to disassemble the car and open it from the inside. I opened mine like this
I love this channel. NIch always does an awesome job reviewing diecast.
Thanks!
You can open the trunk just look at top spoiler then lift that part up
Been waiting for this review I have a couple of the Greenlight tahoes Def need this one, it's my favorite full size suv
cool to see rear parking sensors on a 1/24 scale model.
Yeah, I didn’t notice those at first!
This model needs to be in 1:18 in different colors like black or white.
I agree, this wold be AWESOME to have a 1/18 version of for sure.
Did not know this was a car Maisto made this!
They quietly released it in August or September. I forgot they were going to make it.
Just bought the white version. Makes a perfect fleet vehicle
BEAUTIFUL!!.. ✌
Nice
I'm really not a fan of Maisto continuing with the solid wheel axles for this scale... if Bburago and Welly can do it properly they ought to be able to as well.
Diecast looks nice tho.
Maisto used to include steering on their 1/24 models but they often had issues with fit and finish.
@@nicksdiecast1384 it's not as if the fitment is great with the solid axles tho... can't do any camber, the play in the fit makes one side look off everytime as well as making the model rattly
I have an SRT Challenger, older 1/24 from them. Actually fits great in the wheel arches, rolls well. It is possible... Bburago can do it and sell the models at the same prices Maisto can, and they are literally the same company now
Can the back open ?
No, it’s sealed.
Looks pretty nice but the scale is 1/26, kinda weird cuz other brands are like 1/24. I should buy this and make my own custom police PPV tahoe.
A white version is now available, which would be good for making a custom PPV.
i bought one at a truck stop
Nice! There’s a white version that recently came out, too.
Nice doesn't look like maisto it look like
Welly it be nice hood open
Hope make it 1.18
I agree, it looks like a Welly from a distance.
i hate maisto and welly with passion for doing random bastard scales like 1/26 and 1/27 respectively.
Sometimes they have to scale stuff down to fit in boxes.
uuuuuuuuh thats i have no response to that. wow. wow. @@nicksdiecast1384
@@johndonovan7018 That's just how they do things. I'm not a fan of it, either.
yeah its very unfortunate as they are the only ones that do certain models@@nicksdiecast1384
Maybe so. But an 18th scale Tahoe would be cool. @@nicksdiecast1384
Thanks for the vid. Actually both the gate and the hood do open, they both have hinges, perhaps for a future version with an engine and a detailed rear compartment. They are extremely stiff and take some effort to open. I took mine apart to repaint for a police model and found both are seized up pretty tight from the factory but after working them open and closed several times they loosen up enough to open easily after reassembly. The gate by pulling on the upper air dam/spoiler. @nicksdiecast1384
Thanks for the info; I wonder why they didn’t at least keep the liftgate as an opening feature.
