I can understand being a bit intimidated being around an unfamiliar animal that has razor feet. Especially with how unpredictable and aggressive Emus can be. However, it's usually best to be a bit more confident when approaching them. Not like aggressive but not jerky and skittish like Peach was being. It confuses the animal since they don't know what your game is. It makes you the unpredictable one which causes their defenses to go up sometimes.
