Nice little backpack and gear setup eagle industries makes some solid pack pack it looks a little small for me i am 6’4 260 lol big guys big gear pack out. Time in the woods with dad is priceless enjoy it Gabriel make everyday count. Growing up thru Boy Scouts with my pop he loved it more then the kids and taught us how to survival stuff 45 years ago that still work on outings. Thanks again for your videos and being a roll model to others take care and God bless you both.
Depending on what you want to carry, this pack still may work for you even at your size! I'm 6'3 225 (Gabriel) and it's comfortable on me with adjustments. It does MOLLE to a plate carrier so that's an option as well if you have one that fits and has MOLLE on the back.
Fantastic review and just a great video in general. I am looking for another ruck for the range and this may be just the one. Eagle is no stranger to us in the army. Thanks again.
Hey guys. Great video! I have a Eagle Yote that I use for tactical training and somewhat liked my setup but was looking for additional ideas. You have given me what I was looking for. Thanks again.
That's OUTSTANDING! This pack is a fantastic piece of gear and one that get's a ton of use from us. Hey check out the latest in our cabin build: th-cam.com/video/4xSfak35yvk/w-d-xo.html
Great review. The way the shoulder straps are configured this would be a great platform to add a Condor TT admin pouch to the front as a chest pack. My only thought on the velcro would it be simular to a duty belt where you add stuff to the outer belt and the inner layer help lock it in place??
Most excellent review. Because of the increased worldwide volcanic activity, I want to add a mask with filters and eye protection from volcanic ash and sulfuric acid to my gear. Any suggestions?
The velcro on the shoulder straps resembles the strap on the Granite Gear CHIEF pack. The inside of the straps are removable to allow the soldier to wear it comfortable with body armour. Check to see if the velcro runs the whole length of the strap and let's you remove the padding completely
We love those Catoma bednets! Here is a link to one of our overnight camps: th-cam.com/video/vfPLJg3dVck/w-d-xo.html and here are some links for Catoma Burrow IBNS (Improved BedNet System): amzn.to/3i69VAT , Catoma Gopher Tarp, Coyote Brown: amzn.to/3bwXzzn , Catoma Burrow Groundsheet: amzn.to/3gZH9k8 , Catoma Gear: amzn.to/2ZfnVAZ
I really like that one, at least what I've seen online of it (I don't have one). I really like the versatility of this assault pack. I can remove the straps completely and attach my USMC chest rig to it, and so on. Hopefully, I'll get my hands on the Bandit sometime this year and give that one a go!
I believe it to be the exact same pack, I'm not clear on the difference. Perhaps the Yote is military issue where the beavertail is a civilian model? The features are the exact same.
The velcro on the shoulder straps is so the sternum strap can be adjusted high low and be secured where you want it.

Hey thanks, Richard! This pack as quickly become my favorite, it's exactly what I always thought it would be.
Wow, you can fit a lot in that backpack!
It's a fantastic pack and this is just one way I run it!
Nice!! That's is a well thought out compact grab and go bag.
Hey thanks, Justin!

You know, I've thought of the USMC admin pouch as a chest pouch on this pack, but I've not thought of the Condor. I'll check that out!

I'm asking around for you to see what others are using.
Thank you.
What brand of dry sacks do you think are the best? Most that I've seen have poor reviews due to leaking or thin easily-torn fabric.
Seal Line is my absolute favorite, quickly followed up by Aqua Quest.
@@robertsbushcraft Okay, thank you. 🙂
I agree with Roberts Bushcraft, Seal Line and Aqua Quest are both really good dry bags, Aqua Quest makes amazing tarps as well.
Eagle Industries makes some good stuff !!!
Keep up the great work, Gentlemen !!!
Question: will a canteen cup fit in that pocket with the canteen ?
Love the yote pack, a company called crossfire makes a version of this and In my opinion it’s better for a few reasons check it out.
I'll definitely check that out!

We thought that could be an option, but, the padding is not removable as it's permanently sewn on at the top and bottom of the strap.
Good looking pack. The thing that caught my eye though was that cot/bug net. Could you give me a link to one of them? Regards JB.

@@robertsbushcraft, thank you, Brother !!!
