Stop talking it's going to rain! I made my popcorn, been waiting for the next video, and I want to watch you cut your lawn with that roller! I love it. I know about that fish tailing! Great video
@@TurfCulture I should have went to you right after Justin's house. I would have to ask permission from the boss! If she said OK I would come visit I a heartbeat!
Great Vid Brandon! You did s great job explaining the differences and benefits vs.costs. I think you nailed them IMO! Great Editing as well, I feel like your are finally feeling a little more camera comfy in this vid! Good Stuff! Peace and God's Love! Chad Upstate NY Let's groove tonight: Song by: Earth, Wind & Fire
Great video! Believe it or not, the diameter of the smooth and grooved is exactly the same at 2.25” OD. Brackets to mount are exactly the same as well. Interesting you adjusted the height, shoot us an email would love to learn more!
To the untrained eye, the grooved roller definitely looks a little bigger than the smooth roller that came with the cal trimmer. That said, I trust your input that they are probably identical measurements.
mowed with the allet for the first time today, love the mower but not diggin the smooth roller, gonna have to get used to that. Great video dude, original!
Hey there! 2 years later, I wanted to at least make this comment. If you put your hand behind the blade of grass, that will allow the camera to focus much better. Loved the video, even in 2023. Thanks! Hope you're doing great.
Great job on the review Brandon. I like those groove rollers but have never owned one. The Allett has a built in grass rake that combs the blades before they are cut. I agree with you that burning in the stripes look great for the short term but don't like the flat look myself. I mow 3-4 times a week and always mow in the opposite direction to lift the blades back up. To me no matter what HOC you are mowing when the blades stand straight up like a push broom and the lawn is still striped there is no better look than that coming from a guy who has been striping with the Big League striping kit since 2006.
Thanks Brother! Backlapping is a piece of cake, takes about 15 minutes. You'll need the drill adapter and some backlapping compound, I got my kit from Cal Trimmer.
Thanks for explaining, was tossing back and forth between grooved vs solid, going to order the grooved for my Cali too

May is our really wet month here, come on down to St. Louis and mow it in person!

I like my grooves roller. It does great on longer passes. It can tend to dig in when mowing sharper turns around tight corners by the flower beds.
Great video. I have been using my ReelRollers grooved roll for a few weeks now and really like it. I am due for a back-lapping too.
I really like the grooved roller as well.
I was wondering about the preference with you bermuda folks while I was mowing.
Very nice review and great information! Well done good sir. Keep on keeping on!
Thank you for the kind words! I wonder which would be best for trash grass?
@@TurfCulture I hope to find out one day!
I love my grooved roller from ReelRollers! 💪🏻
I’ll bet it’s great on the bermuda!

My factory roller from CT (bought May 2021) is the exact same size as the grooved from RR.

Hit up Reel Rollers for a shiny new grooved roller!
@@TurfCulture they make em for allet?
@@PrincessCutLawnCare ahh that’s right, I forgot they don’t support Allet.. does Allet sell a grooved roller?
@@TurfCulture nope
Great review Brandon, beautiful KBG.
I wish I still had that KBG lawn!
Looking good. I’d say if it stands up it’s a win
I need to mow again in a few different directions to get it all reset.
Been wanting a grooved roller myself! Great video
Go for it!

LOVE YOUR VIDEOS -------- KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.............
You get a higher clippings yield with grooved.
Very noticeable difference seeing all of the clippings coming from the reel.
CT Gang 😎
No doubt!
