My dad used to love this programme and many such others back in the late 80's and I have a box of his video's in the loft but nothing any longer to watch them on!
It ran from 1988 to 1993. It was written by the same guys that wrote Dads Army and Hi Di Hi but it wasn't quite as popular as those shows. I used to watch it as a kid and found it quite funny 😊
@@jackhadroom4540 - Talk about silly market preconceptions. The very format allowed for rich storylines, nuanced characterizations and great immersive viewing.
It used to go out on a Sunday evening originally. It ran from 1988 to 1993. It was written by the same guys that wrote Dad's Army and Hi Di Hi. I used to watch it as a kid and always found it funny.😊
Henry had a intelligent knowledge his character should've been encouraged to attend schooling
Brilliant series 😊
"Where would it all end!?"
henry had some of the best lines ....he was great
Brilliant British comedy. I recognise several of the actors from It Ain't Half Hot Mum, Faulty Towers, Dad's Army and others.
Su Pollard appeared on Benidorm and Henry was Clive in Benidorm Later seasons

Same here 😂
I have the hole collection from this show on DVD , so I can watch it as often as I like😉😊
He was hilarious 😅
I'm sure that about 50% of Henry's one liners were improvised.
Hes the best of em all
He don't give a damn about anyone and the sugar cube blowpipe scene is the funniest scene I've seen 😂😂😂
Henry was so naturally good at math, if he had been teamed up with Cissy @,the factory, that would've been a great character development arc for him.
Henry The Great👍
Bless him , always getting a slap round the head 😅
Might explain his awfuly bad acting
*"What's your nose good at ?"* 😎
😂
I am UK/Aussie and must admit that I've never heard of this "British Comedy" show in my life until now. 😲

I think the format (a 50 minute serialised sitcom) made it difficult to market.
