We arrived at London Heathrow LHR airport in the morning. Immigration passport e-gates and luggage pick up was quick and easy process. There was news couple days ago about issue with border passport e-gates, but it appears - they completely solved the problem.
Heathrow Airport called London Airport until 1966 and now known as London Heathrow LHR is the main international airport serving London, England. It is the largest of the six international airports in the London airport system (the others being Gatwick, City, Luton, Stansted and Southend). The airport is owned and operated by Heathrow Airport Holdings. In 2022, it was the second-busiest airport in the world by international passenger traffic and the second busiest airport in Europe.

@@lvfreeAdventuresive been to heathrow i was on my way to pakistan i had to go on virgin to go to pakistan i was at northen ireland tho so i had to take british airways but it was a good flight!

Thank you Dupree! Yes, it is nice and sunny, a bit colder than it was in Toronto when we left, but at least to rain and we got used to colder weather anyway :-). Love it here, so different compare to Toronto - so many people unbillable!

Yea, we expected Heathrow to be very busy, especially with e-gates issue that we heard on news - but it was so smooth and not busy at all

Thanks for the video! This is what I need. When was the time for your arrival at LHR airport? It seems there was no waiting line for taxi and there were enough car waiting there. That's what I like to confirm. Hope it's still the case in this July!
We travelled at the end of May and arrived around noon if I remember correctly
@@lvfreeAdventures Thanks so much for your response. May I ask how long it took you from landing to clear immigrants? I heard that from some gates it is a long walk to exit airport.
@@user-gn6un7qs9c. It was fast for us even though there was a line, they have scanning machines for passport and photo and quick check after. We were travelling from Canada and they had separate check for some countries
shockingly Philippines implemented E Gates 2 years ahead of UK.
but its good to finally see it happening in third world country like UK. High tech future for UK.

Looks like T5. Heathrow looks unusually quiet, usually it’s much more crowded.
It was first time in airport of us, and I would expect it to be much busier... was a bit surprised, and happy that it was not busy
