Lol! You missed a stop on the train! I just mean that most movies these days (regular movies not nature movies) are filled with a ton of “expletives”. Most of it is unnecessary. It adds nothing to the show. For example, I turned on a movie the other day (just flipping through the channel and they had children cussing! I only speak for myself and my family but I really don’t like it or where it’s heading. So watching African Banbi was just a welcome break for me.
I would watch "Angelic Gazzelle" because much of the footage of this one was ripped from the aforementioned which was a much better version, with a more adult narrative (no foul language mind!)
Yes, wild animals are much safer in one place like zoo, regular time for food and medical, no killing by predators. Sadly, stay in one place will lost all freedoms like surfing in a jail. The choice is: to live in wild with freedom but no safety or live in a zoo safe but no freedom. Human has a choice. Wild animal has no choice.
I've seen another nature movie with much of the same footage - I think it's called "Angelic Gazzelle" - and it is my favourite nature movie of all time. This, owing to the cheesy and childish narrative (I'm British so the accent does nothing for me), is alas inferior, but as someone else commented, there's still some great music in this (which is on Angelic Gazzelle too), and wonderful footage. This one does have additional footage, though, because the Grants Gazzelle wasn't on Angelic Gazzelle. I'm guessing the PBS is a re-do of the original Angelic Gazzelle, which makes me think: what a waste! why didn't you just keep the original? I suppose your version could possibly be more palatable to children, I'll give it that.
Would like to see that "Angelic Gazelle". By the way, some of the footage looked very familiar from a cheetah film, which I watched just a while ago. "Cheetahs against all odds" was the name.
I am so happy to see this African Bambis.please protect this animals.
Phenomenal movie! It was nice for once to be entertained without having to sit through all the foul language. I love PBS!
Foul language? What have you been watching? Nature fan for 55 of my 60 years. Whatever are you talking about? Puzzled.

What an engaging story! Told in the “third person” makes it not just a documentary but a beautiful story.

46:03 it's definitely a young male impala, females don't have horns at all. How can a documentary like this make such a huge mistake!
So that has nothing to do with nature movies
