I wish that DAC had updated his gender language from his 1984 foundation, which he himself has argued for. Still, great bang for your buck, with much sensible and in-depth up-to-date-ish scholarship. R T France's Matthew is also well worth it.

I thought D A Carson was premillennial?

That's an interesting discussion. In one section of the internet, people are convinced he is amillennial. In other section, citing his employment at TEDS, people say he is premillennial. I asked a colleague who formerly worked at TEDS about Carson's views and was told that professors are required to sign a faith statement, which affirms premillennialism. He also said Carson can be hard to pin down on certain issues, such as eschatology. In my view, I think it's best to assess Carson's views passage by passage.
