Surfing the Boise River

Spontaneously shot film project for Casey Neistat's "Filmmaking and Storytelling" class on Monthly. The goal was to go out and spontaneously find something interesting to tell a story about. I went to downtown Boise and explored the Boise River Greenbelt. I ended up finding people surfing at the Boise Whitewater Park right on the river.
In order to create surfable waves on the river they use large, hydraulically-controlled “wave shapers". People come here from all over and surf year-round.

what kind of board do you use? or what do you recommend for someone trying to get into river surfing from real surfing
