It took them 8 years of so much hardwork, sacrifices and what not but I'm so happy that they've got what they deserved, I hope this fandom will grow bigger and bigger in the future 💓
Yeah I hope our fandom will become bigger but stay humble and calm.
I became a cartat 7 months ago. This is my personal opinion though. I have heard about them a lot but seeing 13 members i didn't check them at that time because it felt a lot to get to know them or concentrate when watching videos. I was into shinee, them bts. And I saw in isac bts v playing with Jeonghan's hair or 97 line friendship. Yet i didn't check out them other than that. Then came the news them joining hybe. Yet didn't check. BTS went hiatus, and I had nothing to entertain. Even though there were txt and enhyphan i wasn't much interested because they are so young and I'm a 95 liner. May ve that's why. Then came the hybe picnic, got interested. And suddenly saw going seventeen episode at the same time, that had me laughing so much. Little bit interested. Then killing voice, and going seventeen, liked jeonghan's witts a lot, at first even though he became my bias i was so irritated by him with his attitude in OFD. Then later i realised it was not true at all.
So to tell my opinion as why they got suddenly big has to do something with it. In internationally.
1. Obviously they are so talented
2. And obviously they are soooooo funny, there is no group to compare to that.
3. And they are more family than any other group i know, it was so genuine. But more than family i would say so close bff. It was heartwarming and envious to see.
And apart from all of that why did they suddenly got famous internationally so big.
1. Joining hybe and the fact global exposure through words that there is a another amazing group called seventeen and they joined hybe
2. Breaking 7 yr curse and renewal, that was also a huge part cuz not much groups grow old with fans
3. BTS hiatus. Some may find this offensive but many armies turned to look for other entertainment methods when they were gone. Some still army but waiting without content is lonely. I'm still a army waiting for their return but a carat too, i love them all.
4. And going seventeen

6. Dingo killing voice
These are the reasons why they suddenly got so big in global scale my opinion.
Also i likes carats too. They are funny and understanding, also not toxic like other fandoms. There are good and bad ones in every fandoms. I don't even comment much tk army comments because the new fans who joined lately are so toxic and delulu hating, shipping, fighting everywhere it was embarrassing.
am i the only one who doesnt want the fandom to grow as big as army because of the toxicity

We all know sebongs always call out carats who doesn't behave.

Some haters should stop saying that they became famous because of joining hybe only.
They didn't suddenly become famous, they worked so hard for 10 years to earn this position. To me I think they deserve even more than this. They were not from a very famous rich company, Pledis was broke at that time and if you see seventeen old videos you will know what they went through. They climbed up because of their own hard work. They are a complete package deal unlike other groups.

- all 13 members despite their different personalities are close to each other
- they are sooooooo talented. best self producers, choreographers, song writers, vocalists
- funniest and chaotic kpop group in whole industry (if you disagree watch going seventeen)

- passionate about their work
- so down to earth

I think it was after their world tour. During covid, a lot of ppl didn’t had much to look forward to so they stayed home watching kpop/variety. And world tour was after covid, having seeing them perform irl, even if they’re not hardcore fans made them a hardcore fan even more. Their stage presence were amazing which pulled a lot of ppl into the fandom.
oh this totally hit me. During covid quarantine period, I binged watched GOSE episodes (I'm a YG Stan bored and sad that time).. then I fell deeper and deeper, on December of 2022, when they went back here in Manila, I miss no chance and watched their concert and fell harder with their music and performances.

I’m a new fan of Seventeen. I became a Carat last year. It surprised me when I knew that Seventeen is actually 8 years boy group. I become a Carat because I was impressed with Dokyeom’s vocal, so I decided to listen to their music and pay attention to the lyrics. What makes me stay until this year is that their appreciation towards Carats. Even they’re getting bigger, they never stop thanking their fans who support them since debut, also to new fans. I feel welcomed, loved, appreciated by Seventeen. Seventeen is one of a kind. Not just an ordinary boy group.
