Vividly remember watching this Edna death storyline when it was first broadcast, I would have been about 9. It's a really true to life portrayal of the stereotypical retired miserable old git constantly moaning at his wife who then finds himself bereft with grief when she dies. There were many grandads like Harry Cross in the 80s. Great to see it all again.
