      Yeah man! Just knew I'd probably hook a snap or 2 in those deep waters, and the grandaddy pukas release better than the snaps 👍🏽 beauty eating alright though

    weather has been shocking lately haha but its good to have a good break in the weather. a shame u didn't get the right type of hapuka but man that frost fish.... haha not to mention the range of species u pulled from the deepblue. that poor snapper at 20:49 that sound it made..... were u using a double trouble jig?

      Yeah the ol barotrauma isn't ideal! Usually a meat run when deep fishing. Yeah 100g double trouble. But going to be trying a few different types over the next wee while 👍🏽

      Thanks Richard! Yes, a review video is definitely on the cards! Will probably give it a month or so more so that I have a full appreciation of the kayak before doing the video.

    was the frost fish worth keeping to eat ?

    • @gpfishingadventures7834
      @gpfishingadventures7834  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nah, unfortunately not! It had worms / parasites in the flesh, so it's in the freezer for bait.

      Cut into 60mm pieces, marinate it for 12hours with decent amount of ginger slice, spring onion slice, bit of salt and cooking wine. Deep fry to golden color. Enjoy :-)

    Awesome vid, What kayak is that? How do you store your fish?

      Thanks man! Old Town Predator PDL. It has a humongous storage area in the back. I keep my fish cold in an insulated chill bag.
