I work in in ADA Coordination for students in Higher Ed. There you would be looking for terms like Accessibility Services, Disability Services, or Student Support Services. I coordinate transportation, classroom, housing, and testing accommodations for students and meet with campus departments and administration to discuss compliance needs/issues. Employee accommodations are coordinated by HR here.

I have a more rustic, casual lifestyle so PLG items really appeal to me. I have quite a few of their SLGs and a tote, and purchased another tote as a gift for my realtor. Their 'violet' colorway is one of my favorites. Welcome to the cult! ETA: Their customer service is great as well. I recently ordered several SLGs and my delivery was missing two items and included an item I didn't actually order. They quickly mailed out my missing item and let me keep the additional item at no charge for my inconvenience. Not bad at all.
In my experience, I have found that ADA coordinators fall into a similar bucket as a lot of DE&I roles - employers want to hire people in those communities for those roles. I’m sure that isn’t what you want to hear and, as a career changer myself, it was hard to accept that certain roles just weren’t open to everyone. I have wanted to work in philanthropy for many years and finally had to come to terms with the fact that many people in those roles are either members of the philanthropic community (ie they come from money and someone gave them a path into the career) or the roles are used to boost diversity hiring rates. I have seen a lot of teachers find fulfilling second careers in training and development in corporate settings, if that helps.
I recently joined this cult also. I bought an adorable small green bucket bag that I just love. It was from the almost perfect section and I can’t find a thing wrong with it.
I have three of the premium bags that I bought a couple months ago when they were 60 percent off. Two were mini totes and one was a larger bag. They were three different leathers, three different shades of brown, and each cost approximately $100. I've been very happy with these purchases, considering the quality of the leather and the cost. I may buy a Lola bag or another large bag, next time there is a holiday sale.

That color is very pretty. I bought a wristlet to check it out. the lack of finishing wasn’t for me. It wasn’t just that the edges were raw, also the alignment of the sewn pieces was not perfect. They probably could have sanded or cut to make those raw edges line up, but they didn’t. It was not an Almost Perfect bag. Even inside your tote, the sewn edges sticking up in the middle bottom would bother me. I prefer the more “refined” look, as you called it. Their bags look a bit unfinished. That coin purse is a very cool construction, though, and it’s through something like that I might use PLG.
In WA state DSHS does all the benefits. I never heard of ADA coordinator, but DSHS employs case managers and supervisors. It is a tedious job, mostly paperwork, they do assessment for clients, but it is mostly question/answer format. The case load on average is around 100 people, they don't get to know people they serve, it is mostly financial tasks, who gets what. It is not a clinician job. Oregon is pretty similar to WA, although pay less, and less jobs are available as far as I heard.
I prefer more refined bags as well. Most I've seen from this company on YT remind me of leather bags I bought from a local company 30yrs ago. Your new bag, however, is gorgeous. Who knew they made bags like that! Good luck in your move and new career.
I bought several items from this company this year, including 2 mystery boxes. Didn't know about it before January. I'm usually not the biggest fan of rustic bags either, but since I have a casual lifestyle, these bags work for me. Good quality, decent looking, & understated so I don't have to worry about being targeted by crooks. Houston feels more dangerous in recent years.

That is just the right size for me. I own my home, live on a limited income and I'm 75 years old. It takes a lot to maintain a home. I don't buy designer bags anymore. I have a closet full. You're saving for a house, so why are you buying more bags? I just don't get it. At my age items are just things. Yes I did the little blue boxes, etc. Now I'm going through and deciding who to give special pieces of jewelry to so they can enjoy them like I did. You can't take things with you they're just objects that make us happy, but that isn't true happiness. I do enjoy your vlogs and wish you well. If you wear a lot of green and blue- the pink and purple of boysenberry will actually look really good with your outfits. Pink and green are opposite on the color wheel so it makes sense. I LOVE pink and dislike most greens, and most of my clothes are pink or in the pink family. However, after trying a green bag on by chance, I realized it really complemented my pink outfit- and surprisingly, now I’m on the hunt for a green bag/color I like… I’m going to try some green accessories first, before I actually buy a bag. Those of us with more expansive bag/accessory collections have to be more mindful abt curating our collection the further along we go, but sometimes it’s important to be less emotional and other times less rational… bc there’s no rules in fashion- yet we often inhibit the power of self expression by things like trying to wear matching or complementary colors, for example… Having a diverse and versatile collection is usually something ppl have to be mindful to create and it’s exciting to realize something like a whole new world of a certain color has been right in front of our face the whole time, but we shut ourself off bc it wasn’t our “favorite” or “ideal” choice… however if we always chose those bags our collection would be more boring and actually, more restrictive… Try a scarf or twilly in light pink or fuchsia or bright purple-pink (boysenberry) on one of your green or teal bags and go crazy! Haha
I would check with Disability vendors that manage plans for companies. Also HR benefit groups (both as a part of a large employer) or ad a third party administrator for employers etc. we had a compliance group. There were intake foljs that were liaisons between employees, supervisors and the disability administrator. This rolls into ‘accommodations’ within jcompanies to either find workarounds for disabilities. There is a point where a medical decision is required and that is decided by a medical professional. ADA touches many aspects - including requirements for buildings etc Also, I just bought the med x body as my first venture in Portland Leather. I forget the color but it’s more ping than Boysenberry. Love it. Also some colors, such as Deep Water, is a brushed leather and really beautiful.

Very pretty color. I got sucked into the PLG mystery boxes and I was very disappointed with everything I got. A lot of pinks. I’m also used to Dooney leather, so I wasn’t impressed with the quality of the PLG leather. The bags I got were supposed to be “almost perfect” and they all had visible stains and imperfections. One had a large water spot on the front pocket. There are no returns on almost perfect. And, of course, no one wanted to buy the bag from me on the FB sites. My local consignment store wouldn’t even accept it for sale. I can’t quite bring myself to donate it yet, but I probably will. Or, I may just dunk the whole bag in water and hope it comes out in an even color. But they’ve done a great job with their social media and they have a huge fan base. I’ve liked some of the SLGs I got with the mystery boxes.
You should contact PLG and tell them everything you stated above. I have heard from some dissatisfied PLG buyers that they have gotten exchanges by doing this. I don't recall if anyone has gotten their money back, but at least some have had their defective merchandise replaced. It never hurts to contact customer service when you're unhappy with a product, and I keep hearing PLG has good customer service.
I love the colors PLG does. I have one bag and have bought several small wallets (all Almost Perfect). I like the colors more from PLG but prefer the leather from Go Forth Goods and Coastal Hillbilly. This conundrum has landed me in analysis paralysis so I haven’t bought another bag. I totally concur with you about Portland Leather and Go Forth Goods bags. Their leather is great, but I don’t like that unrefined quality. The bag you bought was a pleasant surprise, along with the bags you featured at the end of your video. This is absolutely a matter of personal taste. I live near Tacoma 🤗 yay for PNW! I have a Speedy 25 and an Alma bb and I love them both. Can't go wrong with either one. They both have top handles and a crossbody strap so they're great bags. I can fit more things into the speedy but the alma can surprisingly hold a lot too such as my long wallet. The speedy is less structured and will sag just a bit and the alma is more structured so really depends on what look you like best. I don't have any quality issues with either. If you receive yours with any issues you can do a return.
I don't mind untreated leathers, rustic bags or raw edges. Probably because leather is very luxe to me and I love bags that feel and smell like leather. This one looks too youthful (for me) anyway. Maybe it's the size, I can't tell. That coin purse is fantastic. Love it. I've bought leather goods from chic sparrow. Seems to be a similar concept as this brand. Very addictive

If you do the bucket bag, put grommets on the holes where the pull cord goes through.. It totally elevates the bag too a higher level

GFG does a roll hem which does make it look more finished if the raw edge isnt your thing. I like it bith ways.

I can fit more things into the speedy but the alma can surprisingly hold a lot too such as my long wallet. The speedy is less structured and will sag just a bit and the alma is more structured so really depends on what look you like best. I don't have any quality issues with either. If you receive yours with any issues you can do a return.

I don't mind untreated leathers, rustic bags or raw edges. Probably because leather is very luxe to me and I love bags that feel and smell like leather. This one looks too youthful (for me) anyway. Maybe it's the size, I can't tell. That coin purse is fantastic. Love it. I've bought leather goods from chic sparrow. Seems to be a similar concept as this brand. Very addictive
I have several PLG bags and have such mixed feelings my main complaint is the darker bags transfer horribly.
It annoys me that I can't buy from these American sites..... Truth is I can buy the items but I get slammed for customs taxes for buying outside the EU.....
