Great information you two, good to see you! Most of the packages look pretty good. The chickens will be happy. Interesting that the bottom of the bucket cracked. That’s something you wouldn’t think would happen with those sturdy buckets. Thanks for sharing 🙂
Sounds like it'd be a real pain to get in to if your daughter actually needed it. Individually pack everything and use a gamma lid so it isn't a struggle to open. Sealing the whole bucket is unnecessary for this use.
Beef jerky and M&Ms are a poor choice for long term food storage. Also, you don’t need to store mountain house meals inside of a secondary sealed container. That’s a total waste of time and effort. All you need to do is protect them from puncturing.
Yeah heat hurts M&Ms over in Saudi Arabia we would get free M&Ms from back home donated to us and the would start getting white in the chocolate so we would take them an feed the baboons with them. They loved them.

Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you 😊
pack everything except the Mountain House in a mylar bag and vac seal. Then the bucket wouldn't matter.
I'm gonna guess the bucket has been bounced around and cold for most of ten years. Not surprised the bottom broke.
