They were one the seminal crossover bands from late 80's, early 90's. Can't compare them with anything... They got this beautiful creative mash of hiphop, punk, funk, dance, electronics and alt rock.. they were one of a kind. Very fresh and unique. Maybe why they sold 19 million worldwide of their debut album... Keyboardist uses samples all the time. That's one of their key ingredients. The guitar sometimes sounds in vein of Guns'n Roses' Slash...very melodic and powerful. Zac's bass very funky and cool Faith No More vibe at times.. Awesome, fabulous band you don't find every generation. So much character and gusto they provide live here..
I agree. Underrated band in the U.S.A... Underrated like 311 or Jawbreaker ...the guitar does sound like a guitar...kind of like the stooges song sounded like a stooges song. Its funny how that works sometimes huh?😂 I'm just being a dick, sorry. I hate it when people say bands sound like other bands... Probably because I do that in my head TOO!...and I'm REALLY trying to STOP.🤘😉🤘
I wonder if any of EMF musicians are still alive?? Ofcourse I can google for it... But things they've done included alot of drugs, I am sure.... Great times. Great Music. Love TALLIN!!!! LOVE EMF!!!
if you're only listening mainstream radio hits... than yes. But if you're dig deeper into music, than definitely you would find some other gems Take Stigma album, for instance - the tunes of the album sounded beyond that time. Or Cha Cha Cha album with gems like Shining or Bleeding You Dry
You just had to be there to really like them. They were so hyper and energetic. The vocals were cool as shit and it all made the 90s music awesome and exciting. It was a fun time. I couldn't get enough.
I was there. 31 years later this gig still gives me chills when thinking about it. Unbelievable vibe that night, one of the best lives I've seen.

When you say you can't compare them with anything... what about Jesus Jones?
Specifically, early Jesus Jones th-cam.com/video/H6jRWTsfddo/w-d-xo.html
Saw them at Reading 1992. What a great festival they were one of the highlights. It’s a shame I never seen them b4 or since.
1992 and 1993 were the peak of Rock Summer Festival, then it was festival of top artists. Amazing to imagine.
This band was full energy
Damn, makes me wish it was 1992 again!
Thirty-six minutes and nineteen seconds of pure awesomeness.
Double like for my city and EMF.
Yes, EMF! Great.
Dench. Genius pure Genius

охуенный музон...
да, Stigma обогнал свое время
This a one riff band.
жаль концовки нет. там разгром бы в конце. клавиши летали.
да, я салагой в тольятти по телеку этот концерт смотрел. жаль команда умерла, зажигали пацаны чётко.
何故に白黒?

a one tune " unbelievable " band
Not true. Lies was a fantastic follow-up single, even better infact. The album Schubert Dip was superb and is synonymous with the era.
I agree, Shubert Dip is an album I still love and listen to 20+yrs on, still sounds fresh to me!
I preferred the Stigma album so I definitely disagree on that one - some belters on that album.

@@randomnesspersonified thanks!! if only they knew eh!!!
Is the keyboard clown actually playing anything?
Turn up very loud and use ears to discern which sounds the vocalist, drums and guitars don't make and you have your answer. :-)
It looks like the keyboards and synths parts are all in playback mode and he’s only acting.
He played shit bit samples. The actual synths were recorded probably with guitar too. The guitar sounds too clear and not live on alot of the songs.
@@leotrevino7448 the guitar is VERY live
Like Sid Vicious, only scene, anyway its good
Well they had a lot of energy on stage but their lead singer kinda sucks at singing. Seems like a lot of chaos and very little if any proficiency.
Mute Station singer has really poor skills
