Hi Dr. Steph, glad to come across your channel. I feel like it’s time for me to be smarter about my money though it’s very late as I am 55 yrs old, I just don’t think living pay cheque to pay cheque is ideal anymore, and I’d definitely like to have more savings in my bank account. Just borrowed Money Like you Mean it from the library after watching this video. Hopefully it’ll give me a personal finance 101 knowledge, so I can understand it more. Thank you.

We call it “Black Tax” here in South Africa when family asks/depends on you for money.

We call it that here in North America too! Or intergenerational debt!

Great video, Steph. Internet research has its place, but working your way through a good book leaves deeper imprints. Recently read Dan Bortolotti's Reboot Your Portfolio and found it to be excellent. One more that is on my Top 5 list would be Morgan Housel's "The Psychology of Money".
