The greatest seaside town fishing village in england 🇬🇧 and a bonus of count dracula abney so much to see up the 199 steps always and all around whitby a great day out and a brillant place to go there for holiday from anywhere in the world 🌎 another great video from a humble utuber always
I've watched a few of your videos now after only discovering them today. Obviously they're excellently filmed and really give the impression of being there. BUT the thing I love most about them is your cheery and positive outlook, your comments are great and you always see the best of things, it makes the videos even more enjoyable. Thank you!
Lovely video of a lovely township. Great soundtrack as well. After climbing those steps, I realise why there are so many gravestones up top! Thank you.
Yes, my sister (From Denver Colorado) and I ( From Southern California) visited for two days back in April of 2017, loved every minute of it and would go back anytime. Best fish & chips in the world as well as a wealth of history, plus Whitby is my last name, so there's some family history there!
Ahhh yeah just noticed your surname Steve! How interesting - never met a Whitby before! Greetings from the UK - hope you are safe and well and thank you for watching my channel!
I like the entirety of this coastline - Scarborough, Whitby, Staithes, Runswick Bay and Robin Hood's Bay. Many childhood holiday memories. Of course, other coasts of Britain are lovely and interesting, too.
@@GimbalWalkTV Haha I suspected that we might have a difference of Roses. I was brought up in Lancashire and was often taken to Blackpool, Fleetwood, Southport or Morecombe. My first visit to the Yorkshire coast was to Robin Hood's Bay 62 years ago (see my comment on your video there). As a teenager, I developed a love for York and around Ripon (Fountain's Abbey for example) and Skipton. I have lived around the UK (Aberdeen, Liverpool, Bristol, Plymouth, Sunderland and the Midlands). I have visited many parts of the world but I now live in Thailand.
I lived up the coast from Whitby, in Marske. Love Whitby, Staithes, Runswick Bay etc. Ran wild as a kid on the beach, got purple legs going to school in shorts in the winter. Snow on the beach was fun. Anyone watching this should take a trip to the North East. Great video Sir ! Going to take a few of my buddy's to Whitby in July on our motorcycles. They have never been to Yorkshire/Cleveland . I have lived in Devon for 40 years now
Just found your walks and will be watching all of them! Refreshing, Informative, relaxing. Just feels like we are walking there ourselves. I live in Knaresborough and love to visit Whitby. Never tire of its sights and smells. So glad of my discovery. My husband will enjoy because there is no talking, just music. Thank you from your newest fan, Carol
Welcome aboard! Thank you so much! Have a nosey through the channel - most of the videos I do are UK based, villages, seaside, towns etc with the occasional one abroad and overseas! Thank you so much for watching!
Stunning! Haven't been to Whitby in years, not sure I could tackle the 199 steps now but have had the pleasure many times. I love Whitby. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for a lovely video, it brought back memories of one of our favorite holidays in Whitby going back to 2012. We do enjoy watching all your videos, looking forward to your next video.
My wife lived here when we met, we've been married 27 years now and still occasionally visit Whitby. Great video, brings back some very happy memories, thank you. :-)
I have been a couple of times but never realised that it’s as big as this video shows. I have really enjoyed watching and will watch again.Hopefully I will be able to visit myself in the future knowing I have much more to do and see. Excellent thanks.
Fabulous tour and perfect filming! Whitby is the best place (for me) on the planet. I actually watched this whilst on my treadmill, loved every step. Fabulous memories, thank you.
Better tourists then the usual 90 year old trouts that walk around filling the air with a damp urine smell , that’s what I think of when I think of Whitby old smelly piss and overpriced frozen fish
Thank you for putting these videos on, Whitby was always one of my favourite places, had many wonderful holidays here, can’t get around much these days but thanks to your beautiful videos I can visit many places I can no longer get to. I cast them to my TV with Chromecast and get a great picture. Thank you. 👏👏
Thank you so much Andy! We'll keep making them whilst people keep watching em I guess so good to hear the feedback! Thank you for watching our channel!
Yes where the seat's are set out is where they have the market. Seeing this has made my mind up to go again. Will be my 8th 2 week holiday. I love it. Thanks for sharing
Whitby, my favourite place in the world. I’m from further up the coast (Middlesbrough) but no longer live in the UK. A visit to Whitby is a must whenever we are in the UK. We visited Whitby last year and then drove to Scarborough. It’s been many years since I last visited Scarborough but I was very disappointed. Whitby never disappoints!!
Thank you for this. I went to Whitby nearly 40 years ago and haven't been back as it's a long way to travel from London. At the time I went with my husband and in-laws. At the time I thought it was a lovely seaside town with a lot of charm. Remember getying a fresh mackerel off one of the fishing boats. Is there still a fishing industry there? . I'd love to go back to see it. I can recall the shops selling jet which was worn in victorian times as a sign of mourning, some were carved. Absolutely delightful. Thank you again.
Well done with the steps! We've been to whitby a few times and did the steps once. There's a briliant book by the late and much missed Peter Robinson called "Caedmon's Song" which is set in Whitby and Staithes. Every time i read it I want to go back. Thanks for another lovely video. Oh, and the fish and chips are brill!❤
We visit Yorkshire every few years, and always visit Whitby when we’re there. A fantastic little town with lots of history and loads of other great things to do, and if you’re there on a sunny day it’s just marvellous 👍

Even though I now live 3,500 + miles away, I still need a Whitby "Fix" once in a while and watch this video!! Some of the shops I remember are still there, others are new but the buildings - thank goodness - are still the same. Thank you for posting this You did a great job! Of course, you could slow down as you pass the shops so I can get a better look!!!!!
Thanks for showing me Whitby...long wanted to visit it, and as a Dracula nut it was extra special, sadly, even if I could visit, wouldn’t be able to tackle those steps up to the Abbey.
Did the Coast2Coast September 2015 finishing at Robin Hoods Bay. We spent a day walking around Whitby, brilliant. Your video bought back memories for us from New Zealand. Cheers.
I have been to Whitby but it was a long time ago, beautiful place ,and fish and chips were the best I’ve tasted, this castle I love ,didn’t get this far, would love to visit again thank you.

Great video. Have enjoyed many lovely holidays in the past in Whitby staying locally in Goathland. Well done getting to the top of the Abbey steps. It makes me out of breath thinking about the last time I did that and wonder if I could still do it now.You have whetted my appetite to go back again. Many thenks.
Have been to Whitby twice. Fantastic town with lovely cobbled streets and the walk up the 199 steps is breathtaking. Definitely a town famous for its fish and chips as well as the Abbey, Count Dracula and Captain Cook.
Thanks for sharing this very interesting video. I found the music a bit intrusive this time but the text is brilliant, thanks, much better than a commentary. I visited Whitby on a day trip from Durham about 1985. Keep well. Thanks again Jarlath
well we have a friend coming over from the Netherlands next week, 12th sep 21, and i thought Whitby na not alot going on, you ve just changed my mind, defo going to show them, thankyou!!!

visited here for the first time 2 years ago, can honestly say it's one of the nicest places we have visited, hope to return this year.
Well said Anthony - fantastic place!
Have been to Whitby twice. Fantastic town with lovely cobbled streets and the walk up the 199 steps is breathtaking. Definitely a town famous for its fish and chips as well as the Abbey, Count Dracula and Captain Cook.
Totally agree!

Will do ,take care and be safe ❤️
Thanks for sharing this very interesting video. I found the music a bit intrusive this time but the text is brilliant, thanks, much better than a commentary. I visited Whitby on a day trip from Durham about 1985.
Keep well.
Thanks again

I went to Whitby for the first time with friends who live in Yorkshire before lockdown this year and I would love to go back for a longer stay. Beautiful place, lovely kippers.
