    It's Mors Principium Est. It's Latin, so it's not a shortened version of estate. "Mors principium est" means "Death is the beginning."

    One of the most underrated metal bands EVER. Great band with some Amazing songs in their discography. Andy Gillion is their main songwriter and composer and for me he is a guitar God! Those riffs, man... Unearth!

      Even their earlier songs before Andy joined are great tbh.

    I discovered these guys a month ago, now just got here to see your reaction to them (and it was hilarious to watch :D). :)) I found them through searching for guitar covers of Insomnium's songs and the guy covering them had also done several covers of MPE. It was a literal instalove... I'm not sure whether it was I Am War or Reclaim the Sun what I heard first. I've listened to them since then so much that I can't be sure which came first. Both songs are awesome. After that I listened to the Lost in a Starless Aeon and went to pre-order the newest album (it was released today (23/10)), I'm impatiently waiting for it to arrive next week...
    You've already got a lesson on Latin, so here's a lesson on Finnish: Pori is kinda like Poh-ri (i like in "kill"). Finnish is pretty consistent in pronunciation, so "i" is always i like in "kill". And Po- like in "poll". :)

    Instasuscribed and maybe ask for a reaction to one of Sweden rising stars their name is Orbit Culture they are a mix of Metallica (the old Metallica of course 😎) and Gojira, please put your seatbelt and listen to "Redfog" or "Open Eye" I swear you will dig it🤘🤘🤘
    They are on the same technical league as Mors Principum Est

      @rickbelk6844 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      With you Blake, musically it was cool, but the vocals just grated for me. I guess that's death metal for you though.

    • @blakejohnson7148
      @blakejohnson7148 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@rickbelk6844 Yeah the music was great but with these modern metal bands there are literally hundreds of them where the vocalists could be interchanged and you would never know the difference. I don't see why they all feel like they have to sound the same.

    • @hiotsobo
      @hiotsobo 4 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Blake Johnson is have to disagree. Ville Viljanen is considered one of the best death metal vocalists in the business. The way he articulates his lyrics while growling is a a unique talent they MOST death metal vocalists can’t do. His style is similar to Jens Kidman and Tomas Lindbergh, and He’s up there with mikael akerfeldt and Bjorn Strid as far as status-minus the cleans .
      Death vocals aren’t for everyone. It’s definitely an acquired taste. I can’t stand power metal vocals. No matter how good the riffage is, I immediately get turned off from the band. ✌️

      Think of it as more of an instrument that adds to the perceived brutality, if you will - helps some people come to terms with it. Personally, I prefer this type of music to come with death metal growls.

    • @jeffbowling8891
      @jeffbowling8891 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@hiotsobo I agree. I actually think this guy is so discernable and also still heavy & death sounding. Could be the production but this is the cleanest understandable death vox I have ever heard. It is perfect IMO.
