I'm pretty sure you can't use Crackle on Mind Blast. "Pure Damage" cannot be modified. Her strategy should have been to go for straight damage and then use crackle.
You are correct. On the leaflet backside under the Crackle section it says it cannot be used on Mind Crack because it is Pure dmg which cannot be modified.
I think crackle was played wrong. She would have to add it to her attack damage initially before you defended. So her total damage would have been 14 then you halfed it with your roll so she only did 7 damage. Unless I am mistaken the game would have kept going.
Def possible it happened. I am not 100% sure on the wording but most tokens are considered instant we thought. To us thst meant that claire could decide on when to use them type thing. We could be wrong though!
I think I agree with this too, add all damage first so, even if its an instant you have already passed the roll to defensive. Because once the other player rolls defensive, it means you are done adding damage.
@@TabletopKnights Tokens are instant provided they can be played in that phase. For example, Conjure can only be played in one of the Main Phases. Also, you can play attack modifiers before or after the defensive roll. Either way, it has no impact on the outcome. If you succeed on Spider Sense, it's half of all the defendable damage, regardless of when the attack modifiers are added.
"You can also wait until your opponent activates their defensive ability to see if you'll be inflicted by a status effect before spending Crackle." Tokens are instant unless otherwise stated.
