The flute and piano on this one are so WONDERFULLY matched... total synchronicity between them, they compliment each other so beautifully it actually did make me cry in a few spots! Masahide's handling of this piece, the emotion, the perfection in not just technique and tone.. but the beautiful phrasing interpretations that soooooo brings this piece that Gary Schocker created to its fullness is nothing short of AH... MAY..ZING! I believe this is EXACTLY how this piece should be played as it brings out every single nuance that was infused into it by Gary. I have listened to many other interpretations of this piece played by excellent performers but this one stands out to me miles above the rest. THANK you, Gary, Masahide and Sonoka. This is the ultimate trifecta.

I have heard Regrets and Resolutions a mountain of times played by millions of flutists, but Kurita-san's performance is the best of the best. My body shook with emotion. I was literally moved by his gentle interpretation of the piece, which handles each single note with great care and dynamically handles slow and fast movements. I feel proud that Kurita-san is doing wonderful work overseas.
