People also forget how AJ Styles actually did what CM Punk failed to do, which is actually leave with the TNA Championship and defend it in other promotions, especially in Japan vs a young SANADA when he was both in kayfabe (and reality) having a major problem with Dixie, which lead to him leaving fully. AJ's exit from TNA was highly publicized, I believe even TMZ mentioned it at the time and when he went to NJPW, a lot of eyes were on him.

AEW marks as so blinded by the new promotion smell that they want them to sign every single free agent. One of the WWE’s biggest problem is it’s roster size, too many wrestlers to fit into 7 hours of television time, too many wrestlers to fit into 7 hours of television time. If AEW triples it’s roster size, or even doubles it, they’ll have the same issues the WWE has with its roster size but it’s going to be worse because they only have 4 hours of television time.
