What exactly is your nursing externship? The hospital is do clinical at has one but you’re just a tech on the floor.
i’m on an interventional radiology unit! it’s really taking vitals and performing assessments and sometimes assisting with surgeries or MRI/CT scans. honestly, it really depends on the hospital and the unit; some externships let you actually assist the nurses and some hospitals hire you as a tech with better pay. try hospitals than just the one you do clinical at! 🩷
