Murrumba Downs is a suburb in the City of Moreton Bay, Queensland, Australia. In the 2021 Census, Murrumba Downs had a population of 10,795 people.
Griffin is a suburb in the City of Moreton Bay, Queensland, Australia. In the 2021 census, Griffin had a population of 12,295 people.
Dohles Rocks. The quiet riverbank area of Dohles Rocks in Griffin is an important habitat for shorebirds and a relaxing place for locals of Moreton Bay Region’s nearby built-up areas to escape and kick-back.
Dohles Rocks Road runs along the riverside. It is a quiet residential strip lined by modern and older-style homes set-back across the street from the water.
You will find plenty of curb-side parking (as well as trailer parking bays) to leave your vehicle while you stretch your legs, go fishing, or enjoy a family picnic, or BBQ overlooking the river. Though the area isn’t suited to big get-togethers, it is a perfect spot to get lost in a good novel, enjoy an afternoon play with the little ones, or launch into North Pine River.
