Thanks for the content. I very much appreciate this format and think there is a ton of value for the community to have a regular open forum interaction with some of the best competitive players in the game. More of this please.
Little late to this, but I really enjoy this format that's more open, topic-wise. Makes great accompaniment to painting as I just listen to y'all chat.
Nice fireside kind of chat surrounding the new Pariah changes. Much better and more fun to listen to than GW meta watch videos as you guys actually play and know how to get stuff fixed. Great to see you two ID problems and come up with a solution. Like this fun format! Keep it up guys!
I would love to see a straight up podcast style stream on the AoW rotation every week. I know every one has a podcast but those podcasts don’t have you guys as regulars. I’d defo listen to you guys talking about stream games, tournaments and the general state of tournaments every week
Thinking Secret Missions are a godsend for Kau’yon Tau as their strategy tends to end up with being behind on primary & they are super powerful in the last few turns
I'm so excited about Pariah Nexus. Played my first test game yesterday of it against Grey Knights with my Eldar 😂 I'm going to be a beast after getting more reps into that matchup on this new much welcomed shakeup.
A way to boost codex complaint chapters without making the keyword management out of control would be to add a boost to codex detachments that only kicks in if you aren’t running units from divergent chapters. Eg. Stormlance gives advance+charge. If you don’t have divergent units you can reroll charge rolls. Makes it so they just need to tag the 4 divergent marine factions with a single new keyword instead of making new keywords and rules for every individual chapter.
Imo the most fun and lore accurate rules nids have had in recent years, was when we could chain spells. Nids really felt like one big entity and having synapse act as beacons, connecting every part of the army was so satisfying. I think if they could bring back something like that but with synaptic link buffs like early 9th, allowing nids to redirect forces and showing off the hyper adaptive capabilities of nids, would be the best way to approach their current need of a buff.
Thank you for the talk! I disagree that the Marines + issue is solved by giving out extra rules. The divergent chapters get to use to the codex detachments, but the codex chapters are not allowed to use the divergent detachments. Dark Angels get 10 Detachments and Imperial Fists for example get 7. That is silly. Black Templars have been a menace for all of the edition so far and most of that is because they can use the codex detachments. Their units are really strong, but their own detachment, Righteous Crusaders, has never been dominant in any way.
Are primaris crusaders a good battle line unit? 20 wounds with 2 power fists, a power weapon, and 7 chain swords for 140 with a mobility ability looks nice.
Guard finally having a reason to not run Leontus; Scion warlord with a couple squads of battleline Scions ready to deepstrike. Can even reinforce the Scion command unit itself even if they do clear it. That combined with some artillery to kill thier battleline and a bit of armor for the frontline.
This is literally a competitive based channel. These fine gentleman are not meta chasers. They literally define the meta. Many of those "copy pasted" lists were actually designed here by these gentleman. If youre here as a casual player, you might find more value in watching something like tabletop titans. I mean no offense, but please be aware of your setting before criticizing the exact purpose of this channel. :)
Furthermore, lazy and biased is frankly insulting. These gentleman not only devote 40+ hours a week to provide us this content, they are out there consistently winning events. Those "biased" opinions are actually based on experience. The art of war crew is frankly the ONLY opinions I'll listen to, because they have the tournament wins and experience to back up those opinions. The only bias here is the casual player assuming we're all "that guy" based solely on your lack of competitive experience. And it's lazy to make that assumption without having any competitive experience yourself. ❤
I know the battleline change isn't that impactful, but is it enough to downgrade paladina into terminators? Of course then you have to deal with the biggest GK issue which is that we have no cheap units so 30 points goes nowhere on its own.
@@piotrjeske4599 I did wonder if the design guys were just bored with some of these factions. Maybe they didn't have the spark of innovation or wonder.
AdMech also were fine at the start of 10th, if you only fought bottom tier armies (Votann, Deathguard). The latter two got a huge buff to damage. AdMech got a codex that was clearly written at the same time as their index.
Please stop complaining about sisters. Sisters have suffered for a very long time and now that I’m finally excited to paint my models, every video it seems that someone is making comments about how broken they are
They are broken, with several rules that put them a power level above every army in the game at present. Nobody hates Sisters though, we all just want a balanced game. I'd rather not play something if it came at the expense of making my opponent miserable.
Really enjoy this format! ❤
Good audio on this one - better than some of your previous ones

Great, I am looking forward to the Aeldari Codex, so I can be an amazing player again.

Im hyped up to use Intercessors !

Disappointed. Was expecting a round table.
How about round bodies?
Who are you speaking of?
@@PsykroidsWait the channel all about high end competitive play isn't catering to non-competitive play styles? I am fuckin' flabbergasted.

Im not admech... but i feel like they deserve +1 AP armywide, and compensatory points hike to go with it

terms are still a better take than paladins even without the battleline change
@@weedee88 Hmm, I like the Paladin Brick with GM that is using 6 psycannons with ignore mods. That seems like a good tool to have.
I still feel like they missed the opportunity to just pull divergent chapters out entirely.
I do really wonder what went wrong with the AdMech and Custodes rules. Why did the designers fumble them so badly?
No faction champion at the studio, that could write a codex for either as pet project.

Losing 50% of battleline, just before a new seson that puts focus on battleline seems to me like a very stupid idea.
For the Algorithm!!!
