I love hearing about growing orchids in your zone. I'm spoiled living in Hawaii, but it warms my heart thar people everywhere love orchids enough to make it work. I love that you love them enough to make it work.
I think your plant choice for your new pots is spot on ! Can’t wait to see them planted up ! I’m still on the fence about the pots but with your plant choice I THINK it will look amazing ! 🌺💚🙃
When I went to Hawaii years ago there was a vendor selling red anthuriums, I went over to look at them and he started telling me that in Hawaii they call anthuriums male plants. Made me blush for sure. 🤭🌺💚🙃
My Nono banana the one that’s not tissue cultured is doing VERY good, growing like a champ. The tissue cultured one is STILL at a stand still 🥺 hopefully growing some good roots. 🌺💚🙃
Thats a cool flower on that spaghetti rooting orchid. Ooooo! Those Berry White's would pole vaulted into my car but the faux deer... 🦌 I was like omg Turbo are you going for a holiday look? 🐕Those pots are funky I have a mcm haeger panther collection those might look cool next to that sale price has me pondering.
"I have a rubber plant that needs to be repotted but I just don't really feel like it right now" So, I was procrastinating on my tinke rubra for the same reason. After it fell over for the 4th time, I decided I just need to get on with it. In a show of appreciation, it started throwing out big new roots into the new media in about three days. I am worried that it is going to start growing at a more rapid rate now and I will have to top it. I think that Aglaonema was the one called "Ghost". I almost bought a baby one months ago, now I kind of wish I had.
😆 I meant to edit that out bc it made look really lazy, but figured it's relatable and honest so here we are. I think you're right! It looks like the ghost for sure!
I think it’s a good thing that I’m not your neighbor, I probably would be standing by the fence looking into your property a lot trying to see your garden. I would be stalking your garden 🤭 🌺💚🙃
OMG LOVE the Aquarium! The blue shrimp are cool! Also LOVE the view from the kitchen - what's wrong with a healthy stand of cannas? haha :) The Tahitian flame is beautiful!
Hi Jeff! It's weird, but when the video ended it didn't seem like an hour had passed. It was fun seeing Pumpkin, Poppy, Toby and Turbo. I loved the shots of Toby and Turbo lying together. You can really see how much bigger Turbo is. That orchid is amazing with all of the roots growing off of the stems. It looks pretty in that pot. Your new pots are unusual, and pretty. Since they have drainage holes, and you are keeping them in the house, what will you use for saucers that won't distract from the pots? The plants you chose for them will look really nice. I hope you'll show it when you pot them up. Thank you so much for sharing and adding the links!
Hey sandy! It warms my heart when I see them laying together like that. I won't be using a drainage dish. With the plants in the house I just water them in the sink and let them drain out, and then put them back.
Mockingbirds aren't native here. But there are plenty of crows which will sometimes mimick. Ill have to use the Inaturalist app next time to get an identification.
I think FEMA is dropping the ball . From what I’ve been hearing a lot of things, semi loads of supplies are being sent down there and FEMA won’t let them deliver the goods. I guess FEMA wants absolute control of the situation and it’s causing people NOT to get the supplies they so badly need. 🥺 🌺💚🙃
Ive been hearing some similar news now. Shame such extreme situations have to get political and fall under the umbrella of corporate bs rules and regulations. That's never good when time is of the essence.
Hi Jeff 👋 love the new planters, cool shape 😊 the Hydrangeas are GORGEOUS 😍 I would think that plants delight would have that "rare" type Heliconias 🤔 Aww... Tobes 🥰 love seeing all your "babies" (missing your bird.) 😍 I have a question as usual please? 😁 Gardening here in zone 9b Texas Gulf Coast, what do you think about me having a mixed bed of all Gingers? 🤔 I want to get the 2 types you showed, plus I have the Shampoo Gingers and a generic red.. I guess I am mostly wondering if they would be able to live outside without the winter killing them. I know the foliage will die off but, I want them to all come back next year. Also does it take a couple of years for any/all ginger to bloom 🤔 I appreciate your expertise on them. Thank you for another great video Jeff. You take great care and we will see you on Wednesday. 😊
Oh the hedychiums will do wonderfully for you in zone 9! All of the ones i grow survive my 6b/7a winters with just a pile of mulch on them. You wouldn't need to do anything to protect them there.
I’m getting a cutting of a scindapsus Mayari what do you think would be the BEST way to root it ? Water propagation or in a container with moss ? I’m absolutely in LOVE with my Manjula and I do like anything resembling a pothos, so easy to grow. 🌺💚🙃
Container with damp moss should be fine. A lot of cuttings do well with either, but the nice about moss is that it's less of a shock when transplanting to soil.
I was thinking about setting up a 20 gallon tall aquarium that I bought hubby for Christmas years ago, but then I got to thinking about when we go visit my daughter in Va. we go for at least two weeks or more who’s going to feed the fish ? Can take the dogs with but I’m not hauling Angel fish with me. They for sure wouldn’t make it. 🥺🌺💚🙃
Travel is always an issue with the fish. I use automatic feeders and they work well. Only tip I can really give is to get one a few weeks before leaving so you can calibrate how much food it drops and to give it time to see if there are any issues with the device or it's setup.
Oh gosh I forgot the name of the orchid I bought, the one just like yours because you said it was fragrant. Anyway I’m going to have to go back and see if I can find that video where you mentioned the name of the orchid so I know how to care care of it when I’m able to repot it 🥺 Oh boy ! 🌺💚🙃it’s outside now with extremely long flower canes all budded up beautifully. I think they’re called canes ? 🌺💚🙃
Good Morning Jeff, Turbo and Pumpkin!❤😊 Wondering what the name of your palm that you cut off the leaf? Our palms hang onto the leaves when they are yellow, orange, and even brown. Sometimes, they chuck the really big leaves off. Any help identifying my palm type?🪴

Oh im so glad! I'm always on the fence about talking about them.
Thank you Jeff ,be safe, stay healthy and we’ll see you next time. 🌺💚🙃
Thank you Judy! Same to you!
Love the new hydrangeas ❤. The color is going to brighten up that area in your garden.
They're so prettt!
Wherever your camera goes it finds beautiful color. It's all so wonderful, I hate to see it end!
Thank you, Eileen!

😆 they are kind of unique and I could see how they wouldn't fit a lot of homes.
I immediately thought bonsai when I saw your new planters. It will be interesting to see what you do with them. 🌺💚🙃
I could do bonsai but the supply around here is very limited. Just not a lot to pick from.
When I went to Hawaii years ago there was a vendor selling red anthuriums, I went over to look at them and he started telling me that in Hawaii they call anthuriums male plants. Made me blush for sure. 🤭🌺💚🙃
😆 🤣 ive heard that before!
Oh good luck with your cross pollination!!! 🌺💚🙃
Finger's crossed!
It was 47 degrees out this morning. I HAVE to start thinking about moving my plants, houseplants inside. 🥺🌺💚🙃
So sad! It's about that time here too.
My Nono banana the one that’s not tissue cultured is doing VERY good, growing like a champ. The tissue cultured one is STILL at a stand still 🥺 hopefully growing some good roots. 🌺💚🙃
Here's hoping! It takes them a while to get going sometimes.

You should see the size of the photos leaves here in Hawaii, they grow huge and cover trees on the side of some roads.
I've seen pictures before, absolutely amazing!
@@fancypinkg I’ve seen them, beautiful! 🌺💚🙃

Oh my gosh you find the cutest things ! Amazon ? 🌺💚🙃
Yup! Great pots this go around!
Maybe you need to put an antenna on Colby ? I’ve seen it on another turtle/ tortoise but I forgot how they attached it 🥺🌺💚🙃
😆 people do put airtags on them!

Do you still have the white butterfly lilies?
Are you referring to the gingers? The coronariums? I do still have them 😊

Hello! The ones in the video are Gaussia palms.
@@TropicalPlantParty Mahalo! Hope it's the one I have.🪴😊
Looks like my palms more closely resemble the adonidia palms. They seem to have berries: yellow, not the red variety. 🌴
