Thank you sincerely for the additional sunny day footage. I was dreadfully close to slitting my wrists from the endless miles of gloom. 😉 Kidding aside, every video is thoroughly enjoyed for at least the narration, even if the weather decides not to cooperate.

Good am sir, your videos just popped up on useless tube so i watched them both back to back while slurping my morning coffee. What a nice olde machine you have, it's quite relaxing riding along with you & listening to the gentle purr of that olde engine. I'm not a big harley fan unless they are olde as i am(ancient) but your friends' olde bike is a real treasure to behold. I usually like to ride out in the winter when roads & weather are at least tolerable however here this year we have been up to our a$$=$ in snow, no let up. Oh well, that's winter for you. Thanks for the ride & i hope you enjoy many more outings on that nice olde horse. Ric, ontario canada.

Little Red is such a sweet sounding bike, mine was the hundredth like on this video😜
My first ride of 2025 this January included Hallaton to Launde Abbey and beyond. The road between East Norton and Launde was particularly muddy and my bike got absolutely filthy, the mudguards on my café racer being designed for show and not utility.
Riding over the cattle grid entering the grounds of Launde Abbey is as if you are transported back several hundred years before the fields of England were enclosed with hedges. I live just across the border in North Northamptonshire and my first ride through Launde was as recent as the month of your ride, albeit I had a sunny day similar to your outfit ride inserted into this video.
I wouldn’t have thought of riding through Launde at all until I watched the Ol’man from a father and son TH-cam channel riding through and worked out where he was via Google Maps. I won’t be heading there again though until I’m confident there will be less mud on the journey !!

Thank you for that, sir. I saw a Harley, your Panther, a scooter and a Triumph twin? Would love a dekko at the machines that you friends are riding.

The little red bike runs like new. It must be most enjoyable to pilot it along such a pleasant route.

Very good video Jonathan although I might have skipped the filling station and, indeed, the emptying station detail. I think with a sizeable adjustment to the weather, that route is well worth a re-run. I am still finding mud from those lanes in unexpected places as I go through my winter servicing and inspection.

Nothing less than a complete strip down and rebuild will remove all the mud...

Haven't been out on my Francis Barnett since October. I made a rash promise to ride my brother's Bantam To the familie's ancestral farm, 110 miles away. Another 10 weeks, at least. The Barnett is booked for the local St. Patrick's Day parade. Brrr.
