Thank you for making this video. This topic is rarely talked about although croissants and pastries are served at every formal breakfast or brunch. It was very helpful.

@@HeidiDulebohn1 My son Daniel is your fan too. He studies English and your speech is so perfect, so intelligent, that he understands everything. It's not so easy for teenager with autism study English, but he does his best and your video helps him. Thank you for your channel 😍

After class yesterday, I went to a cafe and ordered a raspberry filled pastry. To my surprise, my teacher showed up and joined me. After watching you on this video, I enjoyed his company and my treat with ease. Thanks again.

Thank you so much for the videos! Today I went to Maison Eric Kayser and ordered a delicious croissant with salmon and eggs filings. The waitress did not send me knife and fork. I was so confused and stuck how to start to enjoy it! I tried to bite the croissant piece by piece but failed, a full filings inside…Finally I picked it up with my hands and just ate. I really don’t like my plate after I finished but I had tried my best to avoid a messy plate… 😅

I have a friend who used to work there! That is an exquisite and beautiful place, so your croissant must’ve been fantastic!

Thank you! I am all about the history! Especially in etiquette! There is a historical reason for nearly everything! It’s so fun to learn the “ why” because it helps you remember, and adhere to the rules, if you so wish!

Would you dip it into coffee while dining with others or only within informal setting? I grew up with a French influence and this is how my parents and relatives do it. I personally don’t. For one thing, it gets soggy. Secondly, not everyone see that as normal.

Could I just treat it like a pastry, and cut the chocolate croissant into smaller pieces, then eat with my fingers? If I ues my fork and knife to cut off the first bite, I might make a bigger mess 🤔

The real way to eat those, "stuff it in your mouth until you cannot take anymore of it and bite"
