Yep thats great butter 👏 Aldi do butter kilkeely, exact same as kerry gold and half price. Its actually made in same factory as kerrygold here in Ireland. Its just cream and salt. Products by law in Ireland have code number on package which you google code it will tell you exact factory and name food manufacturers where it was made.

I always get the Aldi grass-fed ground beef when it goes on sale. It's really good. The Aldi version of Kerry Gold butter is delicious and cheaper than K.G. I have about 10 pounds in my freezer. I enjoy your grocery haul videos.

Next time you go to Aldi, check out the sell by date on things like those RibEyes, etc. Go back the day before that date.. first thing in the morning if you can. Likely, if any are left... be on the lookout because they will be 50% off. Huge score, considering. :)

Tough cuts like chuck or top round are actually tender raw. Slice to make sashimi. Alternatively, it can be made into jerkey. That's a "hack" because tough cuts are cheaper.

At Aldi’s, I buy the organic 85% grass fed beef. I also buy the lower priced eggs. I also buy cauliflower. If I eat strictly carnivore, I get severe constipation. If I eat one cauliflower per day, I never get constipation. Some doctors say you need fiber. Other doctors say that you don’t need fiber at all. I determined if I don’t eat some fiber, I always get severe constipation.
At Costco, I buy the $80 to $110 ribeye and cut it half the thickness of the precut ribeye at Costco. I buy the sugar free bacon at Costco. Costco sells about 8 kinds of bacon and only one is sugar free. Aldi’s sells 5 kinds of bacon, and only one is sugar free. However, the Costco bacon looks better and tastes better than the Aldi’s bacon. I buy the Kirkland grass fed butter at Costco. Everything that’s cooked on the stove is cooked with the Costco grass fed butter.
I cook the ribeye in an air fryer. It’s very simple, 8 minutes per side at 400 degrees. Ribs are cooked in the air fryer too. Chuck roast is cooked in the Ninja pressure cooker on high for two hours.

@@Jaylwoodworth Everything you got looked amazing. I have a hard time cooking beef roast so that it tastes good but is still carnivore. There are good prices on different roasts at Walmart and Winco but they always taste kind of blah. Not sure about different seasonings. Salt helps but not too much. I'm guessing on the Lion diet you don't use seasoning? I always like the BBBE challenges though.

Thanks for taking us to Aldi. Haven't been in awhile. We cook our ribs, wrapped in foil in the oven say at 350 or so for 20 minutes for a pound. We season with salt, pepper, of course Redmonds brand. The ground beef is good at Aldi but yes Costco is cheaper. How do you cook a flat steak? Also, do you have any experience cooking a Brisket. We looked up receipes for it but let us know, if you have cooked one and how you do it! We stay away from the inside of the store, to much junk, even for Ketovores! Make your own bone broth. We buy beef bones at our supermarket frozen. We put them in the instapot and cook them under pressure for 50 minutes with salt and pepper! It comes out really good and is so good for you!. We do not buy any broth in a carton. It has too many added things in it! Thanks for your help Jay!❤😊

I do most of my meat shopping at a store called US Chef’s Store. It’s like a restaurant supply store or Costco with larger quantities and no membership fee. The meat is generally packaged at about five pounds and up, so there is some additional cutting and/or wrapping I need to do at home. After it rests, I slice it very thin against the grain and it seems like it goes a long way. If it is just you eating it, that london broil would last you 4-6 meals. I just find them tasty. Always loved a london broil.
Hang in there, get creative. Do you enjoy cooking, need tecipes? I recommend Chris Cooking Nashville, Ketogenic woman and Steak & Butter Gal.

Hi Jay... The Black Angus is my favorite beef for the flavor. The Ribs are very good done in a slow-cooker or in the oven at a low temperature 255 degrees F for four hours. The rib meat has a distinctive flavor that is very good. I never buy the round steak or sirloin steak because of how tough it is, but you could do those in a slow cooker also. I got a very small slow cooker on Amazon for very cheap price and it is perfect for me as I am one person alone here. Black Angus Rib Steaks are on sale here today so I am going to go and see how many the Butcher will allow me to buy. I only buy meat on sale as that is the only way I can afford to eat Carnivore since I really love the tender steaks the most. I make my own bone broth in my large slow cooker. Yes, I have two slow cookers as I bought the big one first and then the little one. I think you bought one of the expensive ground beef, with the blue label, didn't you?

    • @Jaylwoodworth
      @Jaylwoodworth  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

I’ll bet the ribs in the slow cooker are delicious! I ended up putting the ribs back because they were too expensive, but I’ll have to try the slow cooker ribs next time I see them on sale. Thanks for the tips!

@@Jaylwoodworth Sometimes when I buy rib steaks, I cut off the bones with a bit of meat on them before I vac-seal the steaks. I keep the bones separate and later roast them in my oven to brown them before making my own bone broth with them. Home made bone broth is very good. The Black Angus Rib steaks are on sale today for Canadian $14.99 per pound and that is a very good price so I hope to get a few to add to my freezer.

Why didn’t you get the grass fed hamburger or hamburger patties. Both are $3.99 a lb. this week, & I saw it right above the one you bought. 😉 There is a limit of 4 on the GF packs, but the GF patties had no limit. I stocked up.

Don't Lions eat WartHOGs??? LOL! 😆
I know, I know...but still, that's the reason I haven't tried a strict LION carnivore diet. I like my eggs and bacon too much. It was hard enough giving up dairy, and I'm almost off coffee because I don't like drinking it black. I've been making a small Bulletproof coffee with butter so that I can drink it. Oh well, that's my next goal.
Great video Jay, I like Aldi for it's prices too! 😀

You may want to eliminate the "organic bone broth," in the future. The "organic carmel color," is made by heat treatment of carbohydrates (sugars), in general in the presence of acids, alkalis, or salts, in a process called caramelization.

Want you to know if your sole goal is to loose weight you can eat whatever you want on carnivore, just dont eat dairy.
that will be the easiest road. I see lots of carnivores overeat protein where excess gets turned into sugar over a long
period of time and they see weight gain on carnivore. Thats because your body needs an X amount of protein and
above that thats when we see issues since excess is literally being transformed into sugar by gluconeogenisis.
Many say you cant overeat protein but ive seen so many examples where the sole reason they are stalling is because
they eat too much protein. 2g per lb of ideal body weight or 1g per cm of height that should be your max target the height one.
then eat the rest with fat till satiety --> butter, beef fat trimmings etc.

I used to like Aldi until I found out they had fired employees who refused to get the jab. Plus they had a racist hiring policy. Plus you can’t see where all the products are made, it just shows distribution location as Batavia, Illinois (if I recall correctly), so that was 3 strikes for me. We don’t have many grocery stores here. I buy meat mostly from a local farmer. His prices are competitive with Walmart, and it’s grass fed and humanely processed, and tastes great. But I buy whatever looks good that’s on special, too, whether at Sam’s Club or local stores here. I talk to the people in the meat department as much as I can.

I think you are limiting yourself unnecessarily with the lion diet as I think your plateau is down to your dairy consumption, not other meats.
I'd cut dairy first it worked for me.
I think the lion diet is for people who get a negative reaction to non rumenan meat.

like to go along with you because we don't have aldi😭. i noticed you accidentally got one of the 93% ground beef and got charged $6.99 for it. but it still evens out as a great deal. found the boxed "bone broth" to be horrible. tastes nothing like real bone broth so will be interested to see how you like it. has little nutrition either. easy to make yourself and free too when you freeze the bones from any beef you are eating. kitty is cute and glad the new food was tasty.

I was wondering how the bone broth would taste. There are organic versions at Whole Foods but they are super expensive. And as much as I like good bone broth, I hate the smell that the bones make when they're cooking.
