Nice variety you picked up.Take those ribs with a few spices and a little BBQ sauce and put in the crockpot for about 6 hours they will be fall apart goodness
Hi Jay... The Black Angus is my favorite beef for the flavor. The Ribs are very good done in a slow-cooker or in the oven at a low temperature 255 degrees F for four hours. The rib meat has a distinctive flavor that is very good. I never buy the round steak or sirloin steak because of how tough it is, but you could do those in a slow cooker also. I got a very small slow cooker on Amazon for very cheap price and it is perfect for me as I am one person alone here. Black Angus Rib Steaks are on sale here today so I am going to go and see how many the Butcher will allow me to buy. I only buy meat on sale as that is the only way I can afford to eat Carnivore since I really love the tender steaks the most. I make my own bone broth in my large slow cooker. Yes, I have two slow cookers as I bought the big one first and then the little one. I think you bought one of the expensive ground beef, with the blue label, didn't you?
I’ll bet the ribs in the slow cooker are delicious! I ended up putting the ribs back because they were too expensive, but I’ll have to try the slow cooker ribs next time I see them on sale. Thanks for the tips!
@@Jaylwoodworth Sometimes when I buy rib steaks, I cut off the bones with a bit of meat on them before I vac-seal the steaks. I keep the bones separate and later roast them in my oven to brown them before making my own bone broth with them. Home made bone broth is very good. The Black Angus Rib steaks are on sale today for Canadian $14.99 per pound and that is a very good price so I hope to get a few to add to my freezer.
Why didn’t you get the grass fed hamburger or hamburger patties. Both are $3.99 a lb. this week, & I saw it right above the one you bought. 😉 There is a limit of 4 on the GF packs, but the GF patties had no limit. I stocked up.
Don't Lions eat WartHOGs??? LOL! 😆 I know, I know...but still, that's the reason I haven't tried a strict LION carnivore diet. I like my eggs and bacon too much. It was hard enough giving up dairy, and I'm almost off coffee because I don't like drinking it black. I've been making a small Bulletproof coffee with butter so that I can drink it. Oh well, that's my next goal. Great video Jay, I like Aldi for it's prices too! 😀
You may want to eliminate the "organic bone broth," in the future. The "organic carmel color," is made by heat treatment of carbohydrates (sugars), in general in the presence of acids, alkalis, or salts, in a process called caramelization.
Want you to know if your sole goal is to loose weight you can eat whatever you want on carnivore, just dont eat dairy. that will be the easiest road. I see lots of carnivores overeat protein where excess gets turned into sugar over a long period of time and they see weight gain on carnivore. Thats because your body needs an X amount of protein and above that thats when we see issues since excess is literally being transformed into sugar by gluconeogenisis. Many say you cant overeat protein but ive seen so many examples where the sole reason they are stalling is because they eat too much protein. 2g per lb of ideal body weight or 1g per cm of height that should be your max target the height one. then eat the rest with fat till satiety --> butter, beef fat trimmings etc.
I've tried organic grass fed beef and pasture raised eggs from there...my body has a mild allergic histamine reaction everytime...no allergic reaction whatsoever from other stores...weird
Get a roll of Necco wafer candy... A wafer unlocks the cart, same size as a quarter. Then your cart gets swapped with the shopper ahead of you when you check out. You make 0.25, and the person behind you gets a treat.
I used to like Aldi until I found out they had fired employees who refused to get the jab. Plus they had a racist hiring policy. Plus you can’t see where all the products are made, it just shows distribution location as Batavia, Illinois (if I recall correctly), so that was 3 strikes for me. We don’t have many grocery stores here. I buy meat mostly from a local farmer. His prices are competitive with Walmart, and it’s grass fed and humanely processed, and tastes great. But I buy whatever looks good that’s on special, too, whether at Sam’s Club or local stores here. I talk to the people in the meat department as much as I can.
I think you are limiting yourself unnecessarily with the lion diet as I think your plateau is down to your dairy consumption, not other meats. I'd cut dairy first it worked for me. I think the lion diet is for people who get a negative reaction to non rumenan meat.
Hey Jay, we need some more newer videos. You are now my go to in the morning. I had to give up the other because it turned into a bitch session. You always keep it calm and informative
I’ve always said Costco was better than Aldi both price and quality. I only hit up Aldi out of convenience because my closest Costco is 30 mins away but I’ve never seen the hype behind Aldi and it’s cult like following.
like to go along with you because we don't have aldi😭. i noticed you accidentally got one of the 93% ground beef and got charged $6.99 for it. but it still evens out as a great deal. found the boxed "bone broth" to be horrible. tastes nothing like real bone broth so will be interested to see how you like it. has little nutrition either. easy to make yourself and free too when you freeze the bones from any beef you are eating. kitty is cute and glad the new food was tasty.
I was wondering how the bone broth would taste. There are organic versions at Whole Foods but they are super expensive. And as much as I like good bone broth, I hate the smell that the bones make when they're cooking.

Enjoyed the video as always! I might give the bone broth fast a go so I can set myself up for a successful August as I need both a reset and restart moment so I can jump back into carnivore/ketovore full force. Thanks for the idea! Take care Jay!
Yes, that’s why I’m doing it too - always good to do a reset.
@@Jaylwoodworth I’m definitely in need of one that’s for sure lol
I just got an amazing deal at Aldi on ground lamb. They had the family pack of 3 pounds for $14.55! I snatched those right up!🎉🎉🎉
That is a great deal!
I snagged 2 of those! They don't always have lamb. The flyers will tell you what the coming specials are.
I am with you on the beef fat.
Way to eat healthy Jay, proud of you buddy.
Thanks!
Nice variety you picked up.Take those ribs with a few spices and a little BBQ sauce and put in the crockpot for about 6 hours they will be fall apart goodness
Thanks for the tip!
BBQ sauce usually has sugar in it.
@joshlong7521 Do you put some water in it? Cook it in crockpot on "high' or "low"?
nice video
Thanks
@@Jaylwoodworth I bought a mini crockpot at aldi for 17.00 a few months ago. Works great 👍
@@Jaylwoodworth Sometimes when I buy rib steaks, I cut off the bones with a bit of meat on them before I vac-seal the steaks.
I did 🙂. Got about 7 packages of grass fed ground beef on sale.
Don't Lions eat WartHOGs??? LOL! 😆
I know, I know...but still, that's the reason I haven't tried a strict LION carnivore diet.
Thanks!
You may want to eliminate the "organic bone broth," in the future. The "organic carmel color," is made by heat treatment of carbohydrates (sugars), in general in the presence of acids, alkalis, or salts, in a process called caramelization.
I had a feeling…..
Want you to know if your sole goal is to loose weight you can eat whatever you want on carnivore, just dont eat dairy.
that will be the easiest road. I see lots of carnivores overeat protein where excess gets turned into sugar over a long
period of time and they see weight gain on carnivore. Thats because your body needs an X amount of protein and
above that thats when we see issues since excess is literally being transformed into sugar by gluconeogenisis.
Many say you cant overeat protein but ive seen so many examples where the sole reason they are stalling is because
they eat too much protein. 2g per lb of ideal body weight or 1g per cm of height that should be your max target the height one.
then eat the rest with fat till satiety --> butter, beef fat trimmings etc.
I believe Dr Berry backs you up on this.
Try Lidl. I always save there🎉
I don’t think we have them in Conectivut
Lidl is Aldi just a different name in the US for the same type of store!
Looks like you had a 93/7 pack of ground beef on the receipt. Nice haul though.
Yeah, I noticed that when I got home 🙂
Better off. Finding a butcher and buying. A quarter up to a whole cow. Its cheaper. And tastes 10 times better.
How’s the weight loss coming along? You’re looking healthy.
Good so far, will be putting out an update over the weekend.
Jay- you’ve been quiet lately- how’s the lion diet progressing?
It’s been going much better. Been on vacation, video coming this weekend
you can ask the cashier for a quarter and return it
What benefit of just doing lion diet is there? Just something different?
I've tried organic grass fed beef and pasture raised eggs from there...my body has a mild allergic histamine reaction everytime...no allergic reaction whatsoever from other stores...weird
6:01 yes
Why unsalted butter? Just curious. And those ribs you bought are boneless.
Preference. I really don’t have much of a taste for salt.
@@Jaylwoodworththose ribs you bought are boneless
Where’s Jay?? We miss your videos 😢
Been on vacation, video coming this weekend 🙂
Jay... I hope you are okay... no new videos?...
Recorded one today, hope to get it out tomrrow afternoon. I’ve been on vacation!
Get a roll of Necco wafer candy... A wafer unlocks the cart, same size as a quarter. Then your cart gets swapped with the shopper ahead of you when you check out. You make 0.25, and the person behind you gets a treat.
Really !! Wow 😮
🤣
Sir, other than water what do you drink on a carnivore diet?
A bit of coffee. Until a month ago I would also drink raw milk and kefir. That’s it.
Braise or smoke them, those are also boneless
Please leave some meat for the rest of us at Aldi😂
Leave the Quarter Dude , give someone a Blessing
@@bonniebrown1112 Bonnie thats a great idea for yourself
I never have quarters so I always return my cart and take it out
Unfortunately my wife is bi-vegetarian 😜. Makes it hard to be consistent.
Does this mean you are on a keto diet?
Yes, carnivore diet is extremely low carb.
My cats said no to Aldi's cat food
They can sure be fussy
That organic grass fed beef tastes like ground beef the other has no taste.
Yes, I enjoyed that organic beef.
My cat threw up every time i gave him aldi. I think it's too rich for him.
So far so good, but I’ll have to keep an eye on him
I used to like Aldi until I found out they had fired employees who refused to get the jab.
Been on vacation 🙂. Video coming soon
why are those eggs in the refrigerator???!!! shock, horror!
I’m glad I don’t eat meat saves a lot of money
