Can I ask if any one there has done research into the effects of fatherlessness for children their mental health and future prospects I know the charity families need fathers has. While I fully understand not all fathers (or mothers) are willing or able there are many that due to admitted court failures, perceived bias and inabilty to deal appropriatly with parental alienation children are being left to suffer needlessly. I also fully understand this is but a small area in a larger picture of mental health but one that could be fixed so easily and rather quickly. Thanks for all your work heads together I know many will have benefitted greatly from all your charity partners years of hard work and dedication.

As an educator of young children for over 20 years, I can not emphasize enough the great value of investing in a better future and society for all starts with the emotional and socials wellness of youngsters. If left unchecked, these issues, (which a basic to many human needs), can snowball and become much more serious and expensive to society having huge negative implications (jail, drug abuse, violence, depression, anxiety). Simply meeting children needs young and investing early, is a much smarter and cheaper than trying to put a 'band-aid' on their issues as an adult. Part of this issue is beginning to respect teachers and the crucial role they play in society. Too often their salary does not reflect their value nor some in society give teachers the respected acknowledgement they deserve. I have heard time and time again, when parents volunteer for field trips, 'I couldn't do what you do, I don't know how you do it!.' Yet our unique skill an role to contributing to the betterment in society is not often acknowledged. I highly commend Kate for what she is doing and there is such great value for what she is promoting. I only wish an ocean did not divide us and her work could be applied in Canada. Well done Kate!
