All chain guns should be demoted to epic, have their class changed to assault because they're no different than pulse cannons.

Sentinel can cover itself while Ares can cover other players
They are brothers one is tall shield one is wide both can protect people, sentinel is from weapons like javelins and ares is for normal weapons
To be honest both of them are good in term of competence because it protects you better on the side and if there is a Javelin or Helix shooting you well, walk a bit behind and your shield will absorb the damage but is shield has less durability than Sentinel’s one. For Sentinel, is shield protect you in permanence from Javelin or Helix whiteout backing up but doesn’t protect you from the side that much but if he is maxed out well, every time he lose 20% of HP well the reloading cooldown of the competence will be diminished by some seconds which is kinda cool and obviously because Sentinel is and Epic type Mech, the durability of his shield is better and also the speed. So to conclude, I think that both of them have some good perks that differentiates them from each other, of course it depends what kind of weapon you select for them but at this time this is your choice and opinion.
imo ares is better for general protection while sentinel is better for head to head combat simple as that

My fix to chain guns:
• Mag increased to 175
• Removed the spin up time, it will fire right away now
New perk: More projectile speed, +30% faster
I don't think it needs more damage... nor more range because it's more effective at range that what minimum is... Keeping damage and range the same.
Reload could be the same also...
Next time try missleracks on Ares and Stormracks on Sentinel then compare the two. 2 rounds then switch weapons between the two mechs and run 2 more rounds then do a full battle comparison. Would be cool.
