it´s fun too when the foam comes out. you can give about 1 table spoon of any kind of oil to make your hands feel soft afterwords. or some drops of any essential oil you like, but not necassary. first of all you need the a foam soap dispenser. Enjoy

@@arumalifah6005 yes, only water. It also depends on the liquid soap you buy. Some are stronger then others. If the foam is not as thick as you like you can add more liquid soap!

How is the foaming handwash 1/10th of the whole if the soap water ratio is 1:4? Is the size of the container different?
i used the same palmolive dispenser but im not getting any foam even when i followed the ratio you mentioned

2:28 280 washes but: very often I use gel soap on wet hands and it kidna falls down so I use 2-3 pumps so it gives 90-140 washes. With foamy soap I use one pump on dry hands so for me it's even higher saving :D
You can add a tea spoon of sorbelene cream to make it soft on your skin as well

I have done this too in order to save money on soap, but the problem I’ve found is that those foaming pumps wear out after 3 or 4 refills. I guess they were only designed to be used once 😢
I agree . Hand pumps don’t last that long. I wonder how long will a $15 automatic foaming dispenser will last compared to the hand pump? It might be a worthwhile investment. They’re very popular now and much cheaper.

You should be able to take the foaming soap dispenser apart, clean the soap buildup with hot water off of all the parts & reassemble to make the pump work again.

I use cooled boiled water. I also have some pre mixed using a 1L refill bottle

@@mariacrisan5975 it has same effect with tap water witch i use. just add a teaspoon of any oil you have at home to keep your hands soft

Is the foam equally effective? I meant more you dilute the concentrate less effective it gets..??
Many tests by SOAP manufacturers prove that foam soap has up to ten times more 'spreadability' compared to thick sticky liquid gel. The soap is dispensed from the bottle already foaming, so you don't need to scrub your hands to make a lather. Some people just cannot accept this principle or think it's fake. They are the losers!

Come on! The ratio is probably very close - figure it out GeForce your self. Use your brain. Apply what you have learned here.
I would use distilled water for diluting. Tap water might contaminate the soap and will smell bad after few days
Good point. Also noticed dove brand does not allow unscrewing for reuse so I will try puncturing the bottle then refill then tape puncture hole closed again it should work let’s see! 🎉
Why does my pump hang up or stick when I squirt it out? It also makes a noise like a squeaky door and it's hard to pump out the soap. Thank you for any help.
Seems its probably something wrong with the dispenser.

my foam pump did same noise and i gave about 1 teaspoon of oil i had at home to it. stopped the squeaky sound with my dispenser :). you can try ...

Dear Sir , Formulation of liquid soap , dish washing soap , hand wash and face wash is completely different . Foam production is not all .
Dish washing liquid has higher pH to remove oily substance . DM or DI water is used . In case of hand wash or face wash distilled water is used and it makes as smoothy and a leather feeling.

The pump in the bottle does the conversion from liquid soap to foam.

It's the same chemicals. But with making it yourself, you can also add on things like fractionated coconut oil, jojoba oil, and stuff like that if you want a handwash that will help condition your hands as well.
If you want to make it from scratch, you can buy Castile soap (you can find it from places like Walmart or online like Amazon), and add either but it scented (lemon, lavender) or plain like I do, and add your own scent (oils - I find mine on Amazon just look up either oils for soaps, lotions, etc). Usually the ratio is about 10-20 drops depending on the type of oil/scent and strength. Then with the Castile anywhere from 1:1/ 2:1/3:1 water to Castile (seems like if you have an 8 ounce container 6oz water 2oz castile is the most common, but you can play around and see what consistency and strength you like best. I don't know the exact amount of jojoba oil, fractioned coconut oil, etc that you put in yet. Still trying to figure that out.
Hope that helps. With this recipe though, there aren't any chemicals (unless the scent as any chemicals in it), otherwise the soap is completely natural.

This is a palmolive foaming handwash bottle. I'm sure it will be available in other brands as well.
I assume you have a computer or how else did you access this page? Simply search online for a foaming hand soap bottle - they sell them all over the world. You can even have it delivered to your home... this is not difficult!
Dettol has good foaming bottles, but it's available only in 250ml

Sorry i still didnt get it. The foam is Made because by the bottle or the soap. What if you change another bottle is it can be make a foam.
it´s actually easy. did you ever notice foam coming out off the dispenser you normally use at home? if not, then it is NOT A FOAM DISPENSER. So you need to look for the right dispenser. its the right pump bottle who will give you the foam. A FOAM DISPENSER it is :). Remember. dont fill up to much with water. their need to be a space left to produce the foam, witch is Air. if you filled up to much it will not foam up, so you just pour out a little water and try to pump again.

Yes I do.. That is why I had to buy a specfic handwash bottle for it. This hack is about tweaking your existing thick handwash liquid to work with the bottle coz if it is too thick the pump will not work very well.

Are you using the foaming bottle which I showed in the beginning of the video? Not every soap dispenser can turn liquid into foam.

There could be a problem with this because any formulation (including handwash) has preservative in a certain percentage...when we mix it with water....the amount of preservative may not suffice for the whole mixture...basically preservatives are added so that product has no fungal or bacterial growth after coming in contact with water or moisture....so if we mix any product with water...it could have bacterial or fungal growth in it. If the mixture is created daily maybe it is still ok but it can be problematic to store it.
Popo.... we supply foam soap products to thousands of consumers. Not all soaps contain synthetic preservatives. Think first before making your ill-informed comments. To make foam soap, use tap water which contains CHLORINE! This chemical kills virtually all known harmful bacteria & viruses - you probably drink tap water yourself?
And when you blend tap-water with neat soap, there will be zero harmful pathogens in the bottle - agreed?
TIP: Use Dr Bronner liquid soap which doesn't contain any synthetic chemicals, synthetic thickening or foaming agents. In all the time our thousands of clients have mixed neat soap and water - from the tap, filtered or distilled - not one report of anyone getting sick. There is a far greater risk of getting food poisoning when eating out at a fast food restaurant!
