Hey Blitz! My dad actually grew up in a house we all call "The Elevator House!" It was a really old house built in the early 1900's, so elevators were new and cool to have, and the people who built the house were super rich, so they just decided "Hey, we have like three floors and a basement. That's enough to justify an elevator, right?" So they built an elevator in the house. My dad says the only thing he EVER used it for was when he had a huge load of laundry he was taking from his 3rd-floor room to the basement laundry room, or when they got groceries from the car (the garage opened into the basement) and brought them to the 2nd-floor kitchen. So they never really used it, cause most of the time it was faster to just use the stairs, but it was handy to have every now and then!

I'm seriously considering making a mod that just makes the physics consistent, but you're already moving on to Poly 2 (if they fixed it in that one,) so IDK. It wouldn't be that hard to fix. My guess without having looked at the code has 4 scenarios causing the issue:
(This can apply to anything such as bridge pieces not just the car.)
1. A faulty rounding system. After the level is reset values change ever so slightly for the cars when assiged to the object.
E.G.
carSpeed = round(1/3)
BlueCar.speed = carSpeed.
(These are the values of carSpeed.)
BlueCar.speed = 1/3
(after reset)
BlueCar.speed = 0.3333333334.
2.Values that should be reset persist completely or for 1 frame. E.G.
BlueCar.speed = 1
(after playing for a little bit.)
BlueCar.speed = 3
(after resetting.)
BlueCar.speed = 3.
3. Function state persists for 1 frame or longer after reset. Let's say BlueCar has a function called IHitATree(), whenever BlueCar hits a tree the function becomes true and slightly alters the behavior of the physics for BlueCar. Let's also say instead of deleting and redeclaring and reassigning the same object every car object has a function called reset(), that resets the exsisting car's values to the original values, but some function states persist.
(BlueCar's values when loading the level.)
BlueCar.position.x = 20
BlueCar.position.y = 40
BlueCar.speed = 3
BlueCar.weight = 10.
(Function states...)
BlueCar.reset returns false.
BlueCar.randomFunction returns false.
BlueCar.IHitATree returns false.
(After playing the level and the car gets stuck in a tree.)
BlueCar.position.x = 122
BlueCar.position.y = 82
BlueCar.speed = 0
BlueCar.weight = 10.
(Function states...)
BlueCar.reset returns false.
BlueCar.randomFunction returns false.

BlueCar.reset() (This becomes true then becomes false when it's finished.)

4. memory overload, log issues, data swapping etc. This is taking me too long so I won't explain this one plus it's highly unlikely #4 is causing the issue.

I agree, hydraulics in this game are really wonky. I think mainly it's because if you have multiple activations like in this level, you can't control how much they extend in each phase, but you have to set a % at the beginning and then stick with it for the whole level, spend hours to balance everything around it and then find out it doesn't work.
