You all get it wrong. Raila did not say that Uhuru told him to reach out to Ruto to form the broad-based government. He says that he asked him to reach out to Ruto to see how the country can be saved. As to what was done between Ruto and Raila, I believe that the two should take full responsibility. It shouldn't surprise that Uhuru calls Raila about the situation in the country. But what is clear is that Raila negotiated separately, and he excluded other AZIMIO co-principals like he did to the CORD co-principals on the handshake with Uhuru. Can't we see maybe Raila facing pressure from his ODM top brass about having their cake before Raila goes to AU? Trusting politicians at your own risk and peril...
