Verlon is as genuine in person as he is here. He’s definitely my favorite. And besides, he really liked a song that my friend and I wrote!!!
If you can`t cry with music , then music can not be fulfilled ...this was a gem.
Shawn and Verlon have a great chemistry! Shawn's playing is awesome and Verlon's story telling is incredible!
I have to say that watching this has brought out every emotion imaginable..
I laughed and I cried and I got angry when it was over, but the anger didn't last long , I just played it again!
It always does with me. Desperados especially. Reminds me of the old men I hunted with and sat around campfire with in the 1950-60s. 🤠🤠❤️❤️
@@catdaddy3302 Desperados makes me tear up as well. When I was a teen, I had a 76 yr. adopted grandfather / deer hunting buddy.
Desperados Waiting for a Train gets me every time..The part "I played the red river valley, he'd sit in the kitchen and cry..gets me every time..

I’m a 62 year old Canadian. We sang Red River Valley in grade four music.
After 2 or 3 Mad Dog Margaritas you won’t care where you are that’s for sure !
But if you’re ever at the Chili Parlor Bar you have to try them !

The only thing funnerer than the word funnerer is the story Verlon tells about Guy visiting him while he was recovering from falling off his roof. Thanks for this dababe44. The world of music lost a giant when Guy left us. Lucky for us he had lots of friends who are going to make sure he isn't soon forgotten.

So glad you recorded and posted this. For many years I made it to these shows, to hear Guy and Verlon. No longer willing to manage the rigors and expense of major outdoor festivals, and frankly 'done' with being 'searched' multiple times to enter/exit venue areas. I am so very thrilled to be able to experience this at home, and to hear Verlon's stories. You've done an excellent job. I'm using HDMI to the tv, and running the audio through my home system. Best part.. no distractions, and being able with the click of the mouse to back up to hear parts of the stories. Thank you.
I understand what you are saying, but I hope people younger than us still go to live shows to support musicians.

I would be pissed if I got the seat where the view of Vernon playing is blocked by that music stand.. it’s annoying enough just watching this video.
I get the need for the stand, but it seems such a shame not getting to see Verlon and Shawn pick. Two masters of the guitar sitting knee to knee is something to behold.
